In body, yes. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was making upwards of 700hp. And the transmission has been replaced with a sequential unit as well. I'm VERY interested in what tires he was running though. More and more of Pike's Peak gets paved each year. But the toughest parts are still dirt. Additionally, they don't make rally tires in those proportions, so I'm curious if those were just street tires, or grooved slicks, or if he actually did the distance on full slicks.

You only race on the way up. But yeah, I've been wanting to race the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb since I was kid. That and drive the Nurburgring Nordschliffe.

Also, by putting good pads on the front and stockers on the rear, you shifted your brake bias more forward. You might find your times improve with the same pad all around as most cars are too front-biased from the factory to begin with.

id makes great engines... Their games.. ehhh.. This looks interesting, kind of like Doom 3 meets Fallout 3. But we'll see how it comes out. Honestly, Fallout 3 has set the bar on post-apocalyptic sandbox RPGs WAY high. Anything short of that will fall flat.

When I get a cage in the WRX, I fully plan to go to Pikes Peak. I won't win, but it's something I want to do before I die.

There's no room for principles in car sales. The owner said the sale is yours. If the car checks out, and the price is what you want, take it. Once you have the car, you don't have to ever deal with them again. Now if they start to jerk you around at all, walk.

A world where the car is sold based on its power and AWD. The SHO (Super High Output) badge is about performance, not luxury or prestige. If you're buying the car based on it's HP and AWD system, then there are much better choices for the same or less money. On the flipside, if you're buying the car based on it's comfort and size, there are still better choices out there for the same or less money. It's tough to come up with "competition" for it, because it doesn't fit anywhere. People will either see it as less well built than a BMW/Lexus/Infiniti/etc, or slower than a STI/Evo/etc and wonder what's worth $40k. SHO vs G37 performance: Spoiler: G37 romps on the SHO. I'm just tired of the pathetic slugs that US manufacturers put out. We should be able to stand with the rest of the world, but all we seem to be able to do is spit out hard plastic lumps that only go straight. And we're even having trouble going straight as we keep making heavier and heavier cars. 4000+lbs! 2 TONS!

Too heavy, too expensive. For that price, get a Evo X, or save money and get a STI. If you want something a bit more comfortable get a Legacy GT (better yet, a clean Spec B and save a ton of $$). Want something REALLY nice? Get an Infiniti G37x Sedan. Where does this car fit in?

New rule: If the County/State/Federal government wants a new tax, they get it, no questions asked, no vote called. HOWEVER, when it comes time to pay the tax, we have a vote by choosing to pay it or not.

No AutoX events scheduled for September. There is in October. 3350. And yes, I think it's too heavy. The WRX is just over 3K but will be going on a diet, likely over the winter.

Sounds like we need to settle this. Too bad they didn't post the times from the Test N Tune. Might have to go to another AutoX.
