I for one did not buy my polished lip because I was afraid of the steelie look. If I could have my way I would have bought a set of black modas, but alas, they are discontinued. I have never seen my rims anywhere else, however. So no poser name calling for me .

I know it definitely makes body lines more visible. So dents and stuff would probably be more visible, but scratches and chips might be better hidden. Who knows. While it looks like it'd be cheap, there has to be some kind of crazy clearcoat over it to keep water from leeching through to the metal like primer allows. I'm willing to bet a well-done "correct" flat black paint job would be as expensive if not more pricey than a standard glossy job.

I too would get it stitched up. I had a similar experience running into a tree in the dark, and I didn't really do anything other than clean it out. It left a pretty noticeable scar until I started treating it with some scar-healing stuff. Better to be proactive about it now then regret the permanent mark on your face later . This probably won't answer your question exactly/immediately. But my Dad and I both have the lifetime alignment deal from firestone on our cars. Can't remember how much it is, less than 200 though. And you can come in as often as you like and get an alignment. Needless to say, our tires last a while . I suggest it on any car you plan to keep a while.
