When you go to weigh in ( which you should do btw, drive up on the scale and wait for somebody to come on the speaker ) you should probably tell them you live in one of the zones on their big board, even if you don't. I'm not sure they'd really care, but don't risk it and drive out there for no reason. Obviously get weighed again on your way out to find your empty weight. Next time remember your empty so you don't have to weigh twice .

I do what I have time for. Time is my biggest issue lately, it's always either work or class. In about year that should change . My comfort level stops when full-engine teardowns are necessary, largely because I've never needed to. Right now my Stealth needs an engine swap or rebuild, and I don't think a DOHC V6 interference motor is a good first try honestly. When the 318 in the truck kicks the bucket I might try my luck , seeing as it's basically 1960s technology.

My dad towed a pop-up camper with his 92 grand marguis for many years. They pull fine, but you'll want a sway bar as they don't have the weight of a truck to keep it smooth going down a steep grade.

Things sound sketchy. I'm not sure I'd believe all the accusations. I've seen students effectively get rid of a teacher they don't like with dishonesty. If not complete lies at least some embellishment... I wouldn't join the lynching mob just yet. Do you really think a guy would take it this far if he was as guilty as he's being made out to be?
