  1. Stranger: Sweden? You: volvos? Stranger: No? O.o Your conversational partner has disconnected
  2. WOW that second one. I don't have a weak stomach at all, but that's VERY real.
  3. 3.4 sucks so I'm not surprised, 3.6 should not be doing that. Someone stole my mailbox last night.

    Just picked up...

How far away are you shooting from here? Just wondering for comparison's sake, I went with my dad on Sunday to break in his .45 M&P.

    This Weekend

Was there ever a video posted? How did that shit turn out after I left?
  6. Yea all those motors are technically 6G74s, but they all have their differences. Guys with more experience than me have done the research to determine what works and doesn't. The modifications needed to make the domestic options work isn't worth the hassle. As for my car, I'll come bring it home before Friday. I won't have money to do much of anything until the middle of June when I go full-time again, so it needs to be out of your way.
  7. Nah Rob, sadly it looks like the only ones that make for a decent swap are out of the "Pajero" a JDM-only truck. I'm still doing research, I'm not sure what to do yet... That's more helpful, but I'm already too deep into the car to bail on it now. Truly the motor is the only thing on the car that's not been replaced/modified. It's got a lot of potential left in it once I have some time and money. As far as it being both slow and pretty, agreed.
  8. It would hold it for a while, and possibly forever if I never launched it hard, but who the balls wants to do that. The getrag 5speed AWD transmission with a welded output portion is the strong FWD tranny of choice. But thanks for your constructive advice, cupcake .
  9. They don't have the motor I'm looking for listed, but I may call them. They're listed out of Toronto and I'll be in that area of Canada in about a month, and picking one up might save me a few bucks...
  10. The issue with going TT is that I'd need a TT tranny to hold the power realistically, and with a 3.5 the turbo option is still there in the future if I choose. I can't afford the cost of new motor + turbos + transmission right now, and I can't justify it since my transmission is MINT. Baby steps . Does slo-motion do much jdm importing? Do they do any more than I would by just getting on the phone with a random guy and ordering it?
  11. So the Stealth needs a new motor. Even with only 78k on it, I think it sat quite a bit before I bought it, so its issues are not completely surprising. I'm still weighing my options between a rebuild/refresh ( a shortblock would fix my problems ), or a complete used motor swap. If I was to go with a complete used motor I'd possibly be looking to import a "low mileage" Japanese Mitsubishi Pajero 3.5L V6, the 6G74. It would be replacing my 3.0L 6G72, and nearly all my accessories will bolt to it if I'd like to. The idea of importing a motor I don't have history on scares me a little bit, especially coming all the way from Japan, but others have had some success it seems. Anybody have any experience with JDM importers? I'd like one that offers some kind of guarantee, a legit compression test, etc.
  12. Sooooo, would my potato gun be considered a firearm? Seems to fit the criteria, but it's surely not near 1000fps.
  13. +1 I was there sunday and they had a decent amount of $22.00 boxes of 50. I went through about $70 in ammo afterward .
  14. Looks like a philips screw? Ouchie.
  15. Black and white, so much win. You need no luck with this sale .

I don't remember what I jumped. I never did it in an event, just in practice with the guys who did. I liked discus too, but started it too late. I liked track man, even if you weren't the best at an event, there are plenty of other ones to be bad at, so at least you're never bored . Boy I sure do need to finish writing this paper....that'd be good.
  17. Not that I have a solution, but I don't think there's that much wrong with CR. I frequent this forum and one other one for my Stealth, and there's not much difference in the two in terms of what good and bad shit that goes on. The difference here obviously has to do with the local aspect, where people meet eachother at least occasionally and stupid exchanges online that would fizzle out on more anonymous forums are made personal and taken too far on here. That said, it's to be expected, and on CR the good still far far outweighs the bad in my opinion. I'm on here a lot either waiting for classes to start during the day, or late at night doing homework, and even if I'm not posting I enjoy reading. I've got a lot of technical help, met some cool people, great vendors, and attended some good events through CR and will continue to do so. I would hate to see it die, and I don't see it doing so. I do honestly believe that probably 90% of the serious problems that arise are a result of maybe 5% of the active members - which says something. I've got no idea how to fix the few problems here, but a lot of is pretty isolated, and I for one don't have much difficulty staying out of it. A lot could be avoided if threads that effectively involve two parties could stay that way, rather than involving the entire board. If they were limited to that they could be resolved more quickly, or at least die on their own.

Not great. I can't recall my 200, but my best 100m time was 13.2 I believe. I was one of the quicker white dudes .

I believe it was a tear of the labrum, or something in that area. I was at the time just told that I pulled some "cartilage" away from the bone.... dunno.

How tall are you? I briefly did high jump but wasn't especially great. I ended doing 100/200, then I tore a big chunk out of my hip coming out of the blocks

    New guy

If you feel you're up to the task of DSMing, you're a bold enough man for me . Welcome.
  22. Kevin ( 360Iroc on here ) is a good guy and does great work. His shop is on Broad Street. Same goes for Andy, ( AudiOn19s on here ), he will make your car look better than new. PM them both . I've had work done by both of them.
  23. It's far away from you, but Eddie Fisher at Fisher Marina at Buckeye Lake has kept my families boats going for years. They've all been outboards. Both he and his son are very good and reasonable.
