Between those two, Livernois hands down.
-
That sucks. Sorry to hear about the motor. If the choice is between Livernois and MMR, there is only one choice regardless of price.
-
Erik doesnt drive cars, he breaks them!
-
My top choice on a budget would be the NGK AFX. Just let me know and we can definitely arrange something.

SCT supports custom tuning for your truck from a dealer like us or Dynotune. They may also sell a pro-racer package for your truck if you wanted to tune it yourself. I could check for you if you needed me to.

Thanks for the nice words John. We appreciate you coming up as well. It was nice meeting you and getting to put a face with a screen name!

2010 SHO runs a 12.75 with just an airbox and tune

I will gladly work on any 05+ Ford as they are some of the easiest vehicles to work on. Well built, stuff doesnt break when coming apart, and they take abuse. -
You will have to hard wire it in. All of the wires are under the dash for it in a loop. Once those are connected, there is a wire between the fuse block and the drivers side fender that has to be connected to one of the blank studs on the fuse block (it will only fit the one it is supposed to go one and the fuse block should already be fused for it). You will need a 8mmx1.25 nut for the stud. That is basically it. If you cant figure it out, let us know. We could always do it for you.

He said he was only expecting 70-80 hp and maybe 100 lb-ft above stock. He about flipped when I showed him the graph. I thought he was going to kill us on the test drive afterwards. My pucker factor is pretty high too!!

In my opinion, mail order tunes are either hit or miss. Personally, I dont do them as I would rather have the car in front of me and work off the data it presents. How much boost is the KB running? Have you ever had it on the dyno to verify that everything is in line? I agree completely. Some cars respond better to certain things than others. I have had a few GT500's in here that all liked the same a/f timing combo and then I have had one that I ran at almost 3 degrees less than I normally would just because it didnt pick up any power with the additional timing. The car was brand new, bone stock, and in great working order, it just didnt like the timing and I wont run it unless it likes it. You would never know that without seeing it on the dyno though. Should be mid to low 11's with tires and the right driver. The biggest thing holding these things back is the stock 3.31 gears.

The customer picked the car up today. We did a pull this morning so he could see the car on the dyno. We basically got it up to operating temp and did the pull before the intake temps really got hot. Made 539/527. http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/glorypull.jpg Customer was all smiles on the test drive! He was very pleased to say the least.
-
Lol! Good point!
-
Its all in what the customer wants. I'd say he is off to a good start though.

Had a customer bring in his 09 GT500 today. The car is bone stock with 1200 miles on it. We added a Metco 2.6 upper pulley, Metco 90mm aux idler, JLT CAI, 1 heat range colder spark plug, and a custom tune. The combination netted a gain of 131hp/117tq at the wheels. http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/compare.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/after-1.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/DSC02873.jpg We used the JLT Blue Carbon Fiber intake. It is hard to tell in the pic but the color actually matches the car pretty well. http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/DSC02869.jpg Here is a stock pic of the front of the blower a well as the factory airbox. http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/DSC02862.jpg Pic of the JLT/Metco setup from the front. We use the large idler off to the side of the blower pulley to add a little more belt wrap around the smaller 2.6 pulley. http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/DSC02867.jpg Here is the hard data. The car picked up 131hp @ 6000 rpm and 117 lb-ft tq @ 2250. http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/Page1.jpg http://i548.photobucket.com/albums/ii353/brady/GT500/John/Page2.jpg As always, thanks for taking the time to look!

Yes I am. They called earlier today and I am joining tomorrow. http://www.great-tv-shows.com/ateam/ateam.jpg

Really depends on the level of attention to detail you are after. Whats acceptable to one person may not be to another. It is hard to estimate something like that unless you have done that swap before and know exactly what to expect. The hardest thing is that you are bound to run into unexpected obstacles that will pop up and take up time and it is almost impossible to plan for all of the unexpected hurdles.

No. It is more helpful when he stays on the phone and out of the shop!!!
-
Thanks. I cant really take the credit though. I actually did very little work on this one as I was tied up on several other projects. Most of the credit deserves to go to Kyle, Cole, Devin, Alan, and Scott. They really came together and figured everything out and made it work. Now I did teach them everything they know if that counts!
-
The only thing done performance wise was a Diablo Predator which the customer already had. Interior was left stock. This was pretty much and exterior appearance type thing.
-
The bathroom is stinky because Scott is in the can!

Thanks for all of the nice words guys! I checked last week and we already gave away all of the extras that we had laying around. Yes he does use it. We actually had to do some fab work on the back end to get a Class V hitch on the back so he could tow with it.
