  1. Not sure where Downers Grove area is, but Gino's East pizza is outstanding. McCormick and Schick's is also excellent.

  4. No offense intended, I'm just used to talking to a bunch of kids on my local forum.
  5. The offset is the distance from the wheel centerline (midway between the front and back of the wheel) to the mounting face of the wheel that contacts the hub of the vehicle. The S2000 requires high positive offsets. A positive offsets indicates that the mounting surface of the wheel is closer to the front of the wheel than the back. In other words, I can't have a nice looking lip. OEM specs: Front: 16" x 6.5", +55 offset, 205 tire Rear: 16" x 7.5", +65 offset, 225 (245 in anything except the Bridgestone S02) tire A "general" guideline for this car: Front: 6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel: 205 tires: +43 offset minimum 7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 215 tires: +48 offset minimum 7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 225 tires: +53 offset minimum 7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +58 offset minimum 7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 245 tires: +63 offset minimum Rear: 7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +40 offset minimum 7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel: 245 tires: +45 offset minimum 8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel: 255 tires: +50 offset minimum 8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel: 265 tires: +55 offset minimum 9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 275 tires: +60 offset minimum 9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 285 tires: +65 offset minimum A 255 width tire in the rear would probably fit without any rolling or cutting of the quarter panel.
  6. A 9 inch rim with a 255 width tire and a +63 offset will fit with rolled/trimmed quarter panels in the rear. Unfortunately, that's about as big as you can go for a street driven car. Aftermarket rim/tire setups are pretty limited on this car.
  7. I wish I didn't have the carbon fiber trunk, I'd like to keep it sleeper like. The reason I have the trunk is because my OEM lid was vandalized and a CF one was cheaper than fixing the OEM one or replacing it. The only rims I would consider would be some Volks or SSR SP1's.
  8. Only hardtop I would consider would be the Mugen, but it's too expensive.
  9. There are a select few whom can back themselves up and actively "participate". 90% of that site is just full of shit, which is why I'm going to be more active in this community.
  10. With upgraded valvetrain (titanium retainers, springs), I regularly hear of n/a F20Cs spinning freely up to ~10,000RPM. Lots of F/I guys go to ~9,500 with no power drop off, it's mostly in the tune though. I'm sticking to the factory 9,000 as I haven't upgraded my valvetrain and I don't want to crack a retainer and drop a valve.
  11. He's currently @495whp, I think this sample was when he was at lower boost. The 35R should spool ~4500.
  12. Ridiculous. That's ~$10,000 more than I paid for my entire S2K build (including the car), and I'll have more than double the power of that.
  13. Someone please, put him in his place.
  14. I just want to smack some people in the head with a 4x4 on that site sometimes.
  15. This is my "twin" on S2KI. He has a nearly identical setup to me (manifold, exhaust, engine management, etc.) except he is using a SC61. This is all I have to attempt to represent what I will have when I finish.
  16. I'm sure I'll be down in your neck of the woods a few times this summer.
  17. Mine came in at 26xx on 1/2 tank with the supercharger on if I remember correctly. I've done a little bit of weight reduction.
  18. 450/300 on 93. Other S2000's with similar setups are breaking 500+ on stock engine minus 3mm head gasket on 93. The I would have gone with a 30R, but I don't want to be maxing out the lil bugger. The 35R is a perfect match and is in much of its efficiency range for my power goals with room to improve if I ever decide to.
  19. MY 2000-2003 in the U.S. is 2.0 (F20C) MY 2004+ in the U.S. is 2.2 (F22C) My other car is a 1.0. :gay:
  20. So do 90% of the people on this forum own mustangs and DSMs too?
  21. There are tons of Russians/Ukrainians up here. Can you specify?
