  1. Called insurance and they looked up his info and are filing a claim. Going to have a body shop look at it.

How do I convince body shop they need to repaint the whole car to fix those scratches lol... jk.

Agent said it defiantly looks like he did it.

  2. would would CR do....

Had my vette parked at school, guy parked next to me in a no parking zone and looks like he hit my vette in three places scratching my paint. I took pictures and I saw he had a traffic ticket on his truck.

Should I call my INS tomorrow and go after him and try to get it repaired, or is it a lost cause that is just going to get my rates to go up?

    Pics.

You can see a spot of red pain that matches my car, and the damage on his door edge.

  3. I bought a rebuild kit on ebay, and did mine myself. I think it spent around 800 all said and done?

It is in my 600 dollar beach truck.

Made it from Alabama to Texas towing 5k pounds... has been running for 4 years now? I have also let it bounce off the reve limited a few dozen times... Easy motor to rebuild.

  4. The only thing that makes me think you should get rid of you truck and the structual frame rust.

I was having an issue with rust on my truck, but stopped it surface level it appears and will probably get another few years before I get to that issue.

I will also be sure to buy the same model dodge ram so all my lifetime warranty parts will transfer over!

  5. I bought some 5gal buckets and lids, food grade caulk, pump, piping, spray jets, and about 90 1" 45deg elbows and ent to work. I didn't have any plans per say, just looked at the different ways people were making vertical gardens and made my own. Texas actually isn't that great for large scale outdoor food production since it gets so hot. A lot if plants burn. I am going to try some cold weather crops eventually though.

We have fall and spring though where it isn't bad? Just have to start two growing seasons... Right?

  6. Thanks! I will avoid a smart TV!

I have been thinking about black Friday... I went last year but it was ridiculas! I personally don't want to lose my job because someone decided to deck me over grabbing a Tv and I get in a huge fight!!!

Maybe the cyber Monday will be a good option?

  7. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Refurbished-VIZIO-D650i-B2-65-1080p-120Hz-LED-Smart-HDTV/44162696#about

Basically, I have had the same 27-34" TV since flight school in 2010. I it a old big box tube tv. I did not even turn it on from 2012- about three weeks ago when I watched TV. I have the basic cable that is included in my apartment (That I should probably just shut off.)

That being said, I do watch a lot of netfix on my computer, which is a basic dell inspiron that is a few years old. I have been satisfied with that so far. I would like to get a TV, and the only really things I want is it to be big... 55" or larger, and I like the smart TV idea to watch netflix. I sometimes think I mostly want a TV to showcase the entertainment center I built in flight school that is 72" long lol.

All that being said, I don't need the best of the best. I stand next to the 4k stuff and the regular HD stuff at wal mart and hardly notice a difference. Maybe slightly crisper lines. Maybe if I wore my glasses I would notice more of a difference but I really cant. Except for the 500+ difference in price! haha. Would this Tv leave my happy, anyone have one or have experience with one? any horror stories buying refurbished? I figured worse case I can return it right? Is the extra warranty worth it?

    All that being said

  8. IRA is an account not an investment. You have to fund the account then make investments. Roth means the money you put in is already taxed before the investment is made. That way when that money grows over 30-40 years when you are ready to pull it out and spend it the money comes out tax free.

Traditional IRAs the money is put in pre-tax from your paycheck (more $ upfront to invest ) but when your 100$ turns into 1000$ over time and you go to pull that 1000 out it is taxed.

So when you open the IRA account did you set up funds to be transferred every so often into the account? Did you submit investment choices like mutual funds or index funds?

If not you need to setup fund transfer schedule that you can work with and choose investments. I suggest a Target Date fund which you just choose the year you want to retire and it manages all the investments for you or just a basic total stock fund or SP500 index fund.

Remember: "The problem for millennials is it's hard to think long-term," "The unfortunate reality is that time and compounded interest are an investor's greatest asset, yet so few are able to leverage it."

So I have to be putting money into it each month in order to invest it in mutual's?

I am going to have to look more into this, but you clarified what I thought was correct. Thank you very much!

  9. I had a droid, it started screwing up after 6 months of owning it.

I bought my Iphone4 and have had it since 2011... Had to replace a screen once because I dropped it. Just recently having issues, but probably just needs a restart to work again.

I like apple's reputation for just working, and not screwing up like windows stuff. Though I do own a dell laptop.. FML

What is the droid top of the line phone right now?

  10. Savings like at a bank? Probably yes, you are a moron... wait, you didn't ask that exact question. :p

To me, it depends on what the purpose of that money is, the time table for probably using it and how risk averse you are. But with the interest rates on savings versus inflation every day that money sits there you are losing buying power. So the purpose better be very important, short term or you are very risk averse. I'm not risky with my money but we still have our rainy day and car fund in low risk mutual fund... which are still inherently higher risk than a savings account. It was going to sit for a few years so I'm not going to have it sit in a savings account losing money.

Yes, Savings account. Mainly because I wanted to keep it easy assess to pay for school. Needless I kicked ass in school and got scholarships and stuff and have needed very little of it. Maybe 2-4 grand at certain points that has basically been replenished from scholarships.

I am looking at buying a house in the next 6mo or so... but debating if I should dump it into a Mutual fund?

I do have a IRA, but I am not sure that is doing anything. When you open an IRA are you suppose to invest that into something? I am rather lost on all of this. I bank though USAA if it matters.

  11. I pay 45 a month from verizon pre paid and get unlimited text/talk and 1.5 gig of data.

My work, home and school have WIFI so I never use data.

Should I need extra data I can get a 3gig block for 15 bucks I think. Rolls over for 90 days. I have yet to go over on my data though. It might be possible Verizon still see my unlimited plan on data though?
