  1. the power of greed never surprises me... with that being said... should he be in a retirement home? Can he take care of himself? he turns 92 next week, I sure don't want him behind the wheel of a car. Is his daughter doing this to push him to going into a nursing home? How many 92 year olds do any of us know that can live on their own?

Both my great grandmothers died a few years back at 94, both were 100% solid to do anything.

  2. Towing 5k lbs (car and trailer) will be no sweat for any modern V8 full size truck.

Pick the one you like the best, or can get the best deal on.

Alright awesome. People keep saying it's going to sway. etc. But a car that only weighs 2-2200ish lbs... I didn't think it would have any issues..

Its a 2010 Silverado 4x4 two door, I believe 8ft bed. Towing package, upgraded tires. 13k miles. 100k mile warranty, 19k

I see the base 2013 Ram 1500 go for 22k and have a backup camera and bed cover... 2wd truck but I doubt I will have any use for 4x4 here in NC...

Last option bare bones 2013 F-250 work truck for 23,500

  3. Alright, so I don't know squat about trucks. Last year I was going to buy a Ecoboost F-150 to tow a smaller boat and my jet skis. Well we agreed on a price and they back pedaled. So I didn't end up getting the truck and passed on a boat as well.

This year the boat I'm looking at will be staying in the water, so I really don't have to worry about that. The main concern is towing roughly a 2,100-2,200lb ish car and unsure of the trailer as I'm crawling craigslist for one that doesn't look like it's been to Baghdad and back. I don't feel like spending more than I have to but I also don't want some old bucket where it will be needed the tow. I could careless the brand as I don't have a hard on for any truck. I test drove a 2010 Silverado 1500 4x4 yesterday with 13k miles, for 19k. Has a warranty and all that jazz, seemed cheap or atleast a halfway decent deal to me. My neighboor said I should be looking at 2500s if I want to tow a car.... Keep in mind I will only be towing roughly 5 times a year and one long 8 hour trip to Ohio thrown in the mix. Based on my keyboard research a 2500 seems like it would be too much? But like I said I don't know anything about trucks.

    Any input brahs?

  4. Got no insurance info, she said something about her dad switching cars with her and couldn't find it. 20ish old woman, very apologetic, but we will see if this comes out of my pocket. I got as much info as I could. Michigan License plate. Girl lives in Gahanna as was stated on her drivers license.

    I made this mistake before.....

Ran into a store to grab take out, some girl comes in screaming and crying "I hit the Lamborghini" :lolguy: I put two and two together that she was talking about my Esprit, she was the delivery driver and backed right into it. Her whole car was stuffed with pizza boxes, to the point where you couldn't see behind if you were driving. The manager happened to be her boyfriend and was a inch away from literally beating her, so I tried to just stay calm. They didn't have any insurance info so I figured I knew where they worked, no biggie. Well long story short they kept dogging me, my car was able to be buffed out and I got both of them fired :dumb:

Hopefully things work out for you!

  5. Required background checks on all transfers of guns is the first step in a national gun registry.

The law originally had wording that even temporary transfer could be considered a felony.

If me and you were going to the range and you wanted to try out my gun. If I handed it too you that would be considered a felony because I did not do a background check on you before allowing you to use my weapon.

At some point I think the bill was amended which is what I think the Toomey republican had added to remove that.

I don't really see the big deal. No one is taking away any rights. There's no cons to it coming from a unbiased view point.

I get what you're saying about being at a range, that would be silly. Then again if you were to let a buddy use your gun at the range and he did have a felony and you were unaware... What would happen in that case?
