  1. Big A, Why does the second one have to be plugged in? Is it just no/bad battery or something else? Let me know, I am interested.
  2. Don't go to this place if you don't want to be strong armed! My girlfriend and I went to this Panda Inn last night for dinner and were horribly treated. We sat down and were never asked for a drink order. We then ordered and when the food came out, the waiter brought me white rice instead of fried. The food tasted OK, better than most Chinese fast food, but not as good as a Hunan House. Because of the mediocre service and food, I left what I thought was a generous tip of 10%. As we got up to leave, the waiter came over to our table and told me that I needed to leave more of a tip, that 15% was standard. I asked to see a manger and tried not to disrupt the other patrons. I took the manager to the side and explained myself to him. Instead of agreeing that the behavior was unacceptable, the manager AGREED that I should have left more of a tip. I politely but firmly explained that tips are not required, that I would not change my tip amount, and that I would never return to that resturant again. Save yourself the trouble of being harassed and head to Hunan Lion just up Bethel instead of this place. WTF is up with people today? Does no one care that tips are supposed to be earned, not given?
  3. I carry a Colt Custom Shop M1991A1 in a Galco IWB Summer Special and I can get away with an oversized t-shirt and jeans. Granted, I am a fat bastard, but the thin profile of a 1911 can make hiding it easy. I vote that you get a 1911 because everyone should have one, mags will be around even after Obama's ban, and they are dead sexy and accurate. Also, for a good quality, fairly cheap IWB, I recommend the guy that comes to the Vet's gun shows and makes custom Kydex IWB's. Free lifetime warranty, will make any cant that you prefer, and will mold it to your gun of choice in about 1 hour. It is not the tightest fit, I'd say a level 1 friction fit, but he did make me an IWB that even let my M92FS conceal under a t-shirt. All for only $45.
  4. 18/20 Missed the most selling car of all time (I thought it was the Beetle) and also missed something else early in the game. Not too bad for a beginning car guy
  5. You may want to look at some Privi Partizan if you can find it. I found some at the Vet's show before last for $339/1000 inc tax. It is loaded to true M193 spec and it brass cased. The red lacquer on the primers is also nice for waterproofing but it makes cleaning a little more difficult.
  6. All of these are simply ballpark from attending gunshows and reading ar15.com. I take no responsibility if they are wrong. 1 - Norinco SKS unmodified with wood stock and bayonet. Some wheres between $200 and $350 depending on condition, I didn't see a pic in your post 1 - Swiss K31 bolt action rifles(7.5x55 Swiss). Very good condition Not much, maybe $100 or $150. Ammo is fairly hard to find if I remember correctly 1 - Ruger 10/22 Stainless barrel/receiver. Simmons 3x-9x stainless scope. Two 10 round magazines, two 25 round banana clips. I'd say $125 to $150 1 - Mossberg 835 black with black synthetic stock excellent condition $200-$250 1 - Mossberg 500 12 ga pump with 2 barrels(rifled and smoothbore) BSA Catseye scope included $175-$225 1 - Stoeger 2000 semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun(brand new) Have no idea, sorry 1 - Ruger Mini-14 .223 stainless with synthetic stock excellent condition Between $300 and $400. Could be much more if a ban goes into effect. I didn't see any info on the AK47 that you posted a pic of, but it should ballpark around $400 in the current climate if it is not a total POS. I'd say total value would be between $1200 and $1500 depending on how much you liked the guy and what he is trying to trade you for. Oh and I would be interested in the 10/22, AK, and SKS
  7. I watch it. It's sad to see how far these people have fallen, but you reap what you sow in cases like this. It seems that they all are really trying to stay straight, but the other singer guy "Shifty" seems the most likely to relapse. Oh, and when did Rodney King become a celebrity? QFT. The g/f and I both agree that she is quite hittable. Did I hear correctly that she was a high-end "escort" during the lowest point of her addiction? Oh and there are good pics on the webz...
  8. I may go and see if I can trade a G3 clone for a B/BC/CH, A3 Upper, and some money.
  9. If your pending falls through, let me know. Thanks!
  10. I'll take all the ammo for $35. PM me so I can pick it up, cash in hand. Thanks!
  11. I'll take it if not sold. Send me a PM. Thanks.
  12. I would be in for monthly storage of my car. I am stuck in a house for the next 14 years with no garage and nowhere to build a garage. I think the idea of a CR Crew hangout would be cool, especially to get together and work on the cars together.
  13. One of the guys on ARFCOM had a semi M60E4 with a ton of extras for sale a few years back for $6500. I wanted it, but unfortunetly my kidney didn't sell in time.
  14. DJ Knives were at the last Vet's Gun show. I think he is just doing shows now that the retail store is gone. Good guy and knows his stuff. As far as a EDC, I really like my CRKT M16. It is light and comfortable in the grip, the liner lock and LAWKS system inspire confidence during hard cutting chores, and it comes in a full plain edge (I hate partially serrated).
  15. If you still need a CAR stock wrench PM me, I have an el cheapo extra one that you can have. It works, is just excess to my needs.
  16. Scotty, I respect your opinion on the M14/M1A, but I stand by my opinion. I totally agree that the Garand action is a great one, and the actual reliablity of the action is not why I dislike the Mini. I guess it depends on what your goals out of the rifle are. Most Mini's malfunction because they are being used with shitty aftermarket mags. The Mini-14 has crap for mags that even @$30 for factory are overpriced, it has a weak firing pin that must be replaced to fire certain kinds of ammo, slow mag changes compared to an AR, shitty mounting solutions for optics or lights, and overheating and change of POI with a thin barrel. While these are not problems in a rifle that is used as Ruger intended for a "ranch rifle," a light carbine that is carried alot and shot a little, they are counterproductive to a fighting/defensive rifle. People that are interested in a fighting/defensive rifle are better served with an AR15 for just a little more money than a Mini. So when are we going to have a CR range day?

  18. Today is the United States Marine Corps' birthday! If you know anyone who is one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children, buy them a drink. Also, there is a big USMC birthday party at Frog, Bear, and Wild Boar tonight.
  19. Too bad Columbus' ban on highcap mags was overturned by state law. Most manufacturers/distributors don't know this. That's why it is nice to have parents that live in Whitehall ETA: FUCK RUGER and their anti-gun loving ways. Buy an AR15 if you want a high-cap 5.56/.223, not a POS Mini
  20. A good outdoor private club is Pickaway County Sportsman's Inc. down off of US 22 in Circleville. It has a 100yard range, multiple shorter ranges, camping, fishing, and it butts up to A.W. Marion State Park. It is open most days dawn-dusk and the first year is only $50 for new members.

    Gun Crew?

Actually, the M24 is based off of the Remington 700 action: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M24_Sniper_Weapon_System http://www.remingtonle.com/rifles/m24.htm http://www.snipercentral.com/m24.htm You are thinking of the M21 SWS that is based on the M14: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M21_Sniper_Weapon_System http://www.snipercentral.com/m21.htm
  22. Is this a league where linemen (fat guys) are valuable? I am big (6'2, 310), decent footwork, blocking, and rushing the passer. Played OLB, DT, G, and T during HS and a year of Semi-pro. Let me know, I am up for some organized football.
  23. I have Meprolights on my USP45 and I like them. They are over 6 years old and still bright. They are fixed however...
  24. I'll get some pics up tonight after work. Also, I said internal, but I really meant performance mods versus apperance mods.
