  1. My best friend has a 2014 Mustang V6 with the performance package. He is a 30% car guy. Doesn't know much about cars at all but likes sporty cars, so there's that.

Anyway, I typically do the care on the Mustang for him because I like to and I know it'll be done right. I was changing the oil for him the other day and he was complaining of a noise in the back and asked me to find it.

    I'll pause for the irony.

Okay, he reports that it makes a noise every time he hits a bump, he describes it as a rattling noise. I've gone over the aftermarket exhaust to check for inferences or shiny spots where it may have hit. There was none to be found. He jumped on the door sill up and down and you can hear it (obviously I can't) but I can feel it. I cannot pinpoint where it is.

It has about 98k miles on it so my first thought was shocks since the noise only occurs when a bump is hit. I don't see any signs of weeping or bouncing more than once when a bump is hit.

    Any help?

  2. Thanks. It's new sod from early June. I have spent the entire summer looking into the best sprinklers, timers, fertilizers, hand pulling weeds etc. I walk the grass barefoot every 3 days and hand water any dry spots. It's all a bit neurotic.

Looks great! For me, I said fuck it, if it looks green, good enough for me.

  3. I'm the best man for my best friend's wedding. He is truly like a brother to me so I want to make it good for him.

He did set a few requests: 24-48 hours (for the party length) so no long party, relatively close, and incorporate some of his favorite activities.

I'm cool with the first two but the last, a solid no, I'm not getting shot up with airsoft or paintball. I'm as agile as a bull in a china shop and the world's easiest target.

I was thinking of maybe boating/waterboarding, something that can include a large group of guys (10-15, possibly more).

Do you know of any awesome places that's beautiful, has cool activities to do, and relatively close (he was vague on the distance but I would say driving distance, no long hauling)

Full disclosure, this is my first time as a best man and first bachelor party

  4. i still know tires silly. Here are my suggestions based off quality and price the pirellis run about 40/less per tire than the bridgestone or michelin and are damn good at what they do.

    1. Michelin premier ltx

    2. bridgestone dueler hl alenza +

    3. Pirelli Scorpion Verde as+

Well I didn't want to assume...

What are your thoughts on the Cooper Discoverer SRX. I am liking the Pirelli as well.

  5. As Derek is not our resident tire guy, I'm in need of tire recommendations. The tires would be for a 2015 Durango AWD with a size of 265/50-20.

I'm looking for a tire that has good highway qualities and if possible, good snow characteristics. I average about 100-150 miles all highway each day during the school year. Long tread life would be great.

I've been looking and looking. I have some ideas of mine already but I wanted your input as well.
