  1. I love the wheels...too bad they're about 2300 for the set, I would love a set on the Saab!

I saw a set like that on a C4 or a C5, could be either one at the Texas Mile or one of these events that HOT ROD covered, I'm not sure which...but it was beautiful!

  2. Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out the leveling headlight malfunction on my 2005 Saab 9-3 Arc.

It is equipped with the HIDs which included the auto-leveling headlights. Typically, at start-up, it cycles by leveling the headlights (up and down then to correct level). Recently it stopped doing such. It doesn't level and thank god the headlights aren't fucked up in weird directions.

    I've checked/done the following:

Reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery: no luck

Checked the fuses: no blown fuses

Checked the leveling arms: in good shape (they're on the control arms on the driver's side)

I admit I'm not very mechanically inclined but I'm able with some instructions. Maybe there's some people who have dealt with this?

  3. That's it. It's not as much a holder as it is the recess where the plate sits, which is part of the body lines. So on a US spec car, they fill it in with empty space, or in the older cars they filled it in by extending the lights inward. I think that ruins the look of the car, it's obviously not the way the original designers intended the car to look like, so it messes with the flow. I think the smaller US plate makes it look like the car is squeezing it's butthole shut.

Oh I see it now that you guys pointed it out. Thanks. I now agree with the others, the Euro hatch is much better.

  4. You should write a book. Chad Kultgen wrote a book of his experience with a bitch with a fat ass. He's famous, the book is titled "the average american male"

Your book should be called "Fat Asses: A New Hope"

  5. Hey look, another Cody on the forum. My name is Cody as well, duh...

Two questions...well one question and one comment.

Comment: The car looks awesome, I'm truly impressed. I'm not sold on the stance, I never liked those kind of stances but if that's what you like then awesome.

Question: What wheels are you planning on running? I may have overlooked if you did mention. I hope it's not stock wheels, that kind of bodywork deserves good wheels. And for the love of God, please no two nice wheels in the back and two steelies up front...

  6. Yes, it is a two-piece design and they'll snap in the heads. BUT some shops have specialty tools that'll remove the piece that's still in the head without removing the motor. We dropped off the truck Thursday evening after-hours, it was ready the next day at five.
  7. Look for a 2006+ Saab 9-3 Aero. They have the 260 HP turbo V6.

Vtune it (it's a tuning company based out of VT) and you'll get 330 HP and about 405 TQ (if you have a manual but if you have an automatic, the TQ will be lower)

AWD is also avail on these too.

  8. Certainly, here's some pics from when I crumpled it up...twice. Yeah, I suck at driving sometimes.

The pictures may not show it very well but the passenger side and the guardrail had a disagreement. The side was scraped and dented the entire length. (also known as ice)

I'm very pleased with the body shop, there is no color difference between the old and new paint. They did have a bit of overspray but I'll probably claybar and buff it out eventually.

I'm not lowering it, it already scrapes at factory height and Ohio University likes to implement speedbumps that are so high that bicycles scrapes going over it...
