  4. Not the best quality, but it fits your price. 5x7 4" As far a shows, check MECA and dB Drag Racing's websites
  5. Moaaar pics Box for 2 8s that i had in my Lightning Specs 1.8 cubic feet NET 20 Square Inches of port Tuned to 36 Hertz http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/28s2.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/Tang_band_8s.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/28s.jpg
  6. we are leaving tomorrow at 9am. Should be a good ride, with the route that is planned.
  7. Your measuring the WHOLE sub. First the 18 im using is 18.5" The 8 is 8.5" Even with that being said you wont use those measurements. You will include half of the surround and total cone, to get the whole moving mass I calculated the 8s at 537 inches squared..... and the 18s at 529 inches squared lol Yes its duct tape. Older subs without a rubber surround you can use duct tape to actually gain a couple tenths of spl (this may not seem like much but competitons have been won by .1 dB) Without haveing a rubber gasket there is air leaks. Also even using subs with rubber gaskets there still is a little bit of a leak. In and around the port is just a smoother transition. Didnt have a router at this point in time (was my first box)
  8. first box i EVER built. 2 memphis HPO 15. 5.0 cubic feet NET 50 square inches of port tuned to 35hz , then built an extension to lower the tuning to 28 hz http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/memphishpo3.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/memphishpo4.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/memphishpo2.jpg http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/rawlins1087/memphishpos.jpg This car metered 144.4 hz dB Drag racing "Legal" with the lower tuned port attached. I would guess it woulod be 146 or so using just the 35hz port dB Drag and Meca meter two different ways Legal and Outlaw
  9. you'd be suprised but its almost equal and cant go 10s as the 10s wont be out until march-may 2010 competitons in ohio start in march, usually

  12. also heres a question for you guys to help me with... What setup would you rather see 2 18" subwoofer 12 8" subwoofers Both would be on the same amp (although the 8's would get more power due to lower ohm load) both would cost almost the same Box size for both would be close (18s a little bigger box) I'm leaning towards the 8s, but I'm wondering what others opioins (sp?) are
  13. Noobs don't welcome noobs You need to have at least 100 posts AND have been on here for at least three months before posting in anyone else's "welcome me" thread. Breaking this will get you an infraction.
