it won't damage the flange? which roloc (tr, ts, tsm, etc.?)

Got some exhaust parts back from swaintech a while ago. Looks like the prep-guy got a little crazy and coated parts of the v-band flanges. I need to get the coating removed. It can be removed by grinding, but I'm afraid that might damage the flange. Will media or soda blasting remove the white lighting coating? thanks
