    Bracket Racing is an animal all its own. It takes a huge amount of seat time to be slow over and over again. I mean consistent. Although watching Phil try to repeat a run 5 or 6 times would be entertaining.

    Not misinterpreting anything. When the post was made, at no point did I tell myself "Gee I wonder if the motor was built or stock". Given this is loosely a discussion about what a stock motor will handle that the context it was taken in. The comment "the stock sr can make enough power to grenade without increasing displacement to increase power." is nonsensical.

    100% agree. The Bow Down vids are a perfect example. Way better then watching a set of head lights pull or drop back with shitty Techno music blaring ion the background.

    See, those sorts of things get used when you are setting up a car to run from a dig. Because you know what you're doing.... Others will go with the crutch of AWD so as to not look so dumb. Rarely does it work though. Or they have no idea how to set up a car, match equipment together, or can't afford to do it right, so they stick to Rolls.

    Roll racing gets a bad rap because 99% of the time it takes place illegally. Legalities aside, it takes more skill and far better prep for the car to Dig race. Rolling in essence you're taking the first 60-100' out of the equation. Which is where the bulk of skill comes into play.

    The statement has me curious because I always read that the SR's were fairly stout motors. 400+whp was a no brainer with them. Sounds like somebody is :gabe:ing.

    What does the displacement have to do with it being a time bomb? Now I really am curious.

    I dunno, but it gives me a reason to pick on AJ, and I would hope that the motor was being quantified as an OEM assembly, not a built motor. Otherwise that post was :dumb: kinda like arguing witch 20+ year old Toyota motor is more reliable/modern. :dumb: as well.
