I dont know im just trying to think for a minute... Doesn't make any sense that you installed the drivers but nothing changed. Only thing i can think of is something went wrong during the Driver install... Or maybe the old drivers need removed... Hmm... Im bout to go to the MSI website (Your mobo's website) and find that automated driver update thing they had and give you the link...

Wait what... We just installed the drivers provided by the manufacturer... This isnt making any sense. Right click on my computer, go to manage, go to device manager, and see if there is anything under Sound that wasnt there before, or anything with a yellow ? next to it.

Right click the desktop, click properties. Go to settings @ the top, and then change your screen resolution. It will be a slider bar. EDIT: Did you get sound though?
