  1. I love TRC vids, hes the new 1320 since kyle is a sellout now.
  2. Need a Manual (5 speed) AWD Trans for my 1990 Talon TSI. Can be used, rebuilt to oem specs, or a shep built / other built trans. Id even buy a blown one for SUPER SUPER cheap to send out as a core. Let me know what you got and we'll go from there.
  3. So my sis's 03 buick rendezvous cxl w/ 97k (awd w/ the 3.4) is having problems. P0753 P0758 P1860 were the codes, solenoid A, B, and torque converter probs. Looking for someone that can yank it out and rebuild it for a descent price. PM me and we'll go from there. Thanks, Shane
  4. The fluid wasnt burnt at all, just low, and i added the red dexron III to it, and it didnt help. Im thinkin its toast.
  5. 97k miles, i doubt the trans has ever been serviced either. After clearing the codes, driving it, and adding fluid its still doing it. Still getting all the same codes. If you put it in 1, then go to 2nd, then 3rd yourself you can get it to drive ok but when it shifts it bangs into gear, and if you leave it in D and try and drive it it might accelerate a little, but itll start banging and bucking, let off little bit of gas might go ok till it tries to shift again, then banging and rocking etc. Im thinking the trans is gonna need rebuilt reguardless, i noticed the fluid was about 1 1/2 qt's low and its probably been like that FOREVER cause my sister NEVER checks anything on her car till the lights come on. Anyone on here good with trans's that can rebuild it cheap, or test drive it for me and take a better look at it? Thanks again for the help CR
  6. Apparently i checked the fluid level in the wrong gear, cause it is a little below the add mark. I also cleared the codes and went for a drive and it was acting a lot better, actually going through the gears fine, but im still getting that P1860 code. I did notice like 2 times when i was starting from a stop there was like 2 bangs or something coming from the trans possibly, but went away and didnt do it every time i started from a dead stop. Going to go pick up some fluid now, reset the codes and go drive it some. Will report back later with whats going on.
  7. Checked fluid level and it was fine. Codes are P0753 - Shift Solenoid A Electrical P0758 - Shift Solenoid B Electrical P1860 - TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical I believe P1860 is coming on because thats for the torque converter acting up and i could see that happening because of 753 and 758 are the shift solenoids. What should i do from here?
  8. Guess my sister didnt leave her keys at home so i wont be able to do anything else with it till then, but any suggestions or places to start? I will scan it and post the code when i can get the keys from her later.
  9. So my sister brought her car home at lunch because its acting up. I went and drove it and it feels like it doesnt want to shift gears, or its stuck in 4th. The car is a 2003 Buick Rendevous CXL (Which means AWD) with the 3.4l v6 i believe. But back to the problem, i test drove it and it feels like it wont kick down gears. If you put it in D and floor it it revs up on the torque converter and just slowly starts to get going. If you put it down in 1, it feels like its in 1st or 2nd and is a lot better, then go to 3, then D and itll drive/shift like that. Also when it shifts you can really feel it. Anybody got an idea of where to start? It had a CEL but i havnt scanned it yet, just got back from running around. Going to go scan it and get the CEL and then see what you guys say.
  10. Yeah i just watched it on streetfire earlier cause i was sick of messing with the super slow torrents. But OMFG I <3 TOPGEAR!!!!! hahaha im so happy there back, and this episode was awesome. God i felt so bad for james having to ride on that thing for 12 hours, and then him being super confused about the car at the end hahahaha
  11. Dont know much about it other than the fact id rock the fuck outta it how it sits. Thing would hurt some buttholes on the freeway.
  12. When i try to DL it from final gear i get HORRIBLE download speeds. Like 1-2 kbs, where im normally pullin at least 600 kb to 1mb +. Do you guys DL the reg one, 720, or 1080? Cause the 4.4g 1080p one takes FOREVER.
  13. Damn your really close to me. I live over by bethel/sawmill.
  14. Im with you Oh god no. But random, where at in dublin are you? Might not be too far from me. Also cant wait to see more progress on this build, i love it when people document shit really well.
  15. I know exactly what your talking about, im not stupid lol. The drag on your car at those speeds takes a substantial amount of horsepower to overcome. I think its just crazy how fast they pick up speed at the beginning is all.
  16. Awesome vid! Crazy to think they can get to 170 or so in the first 1/4 but then the second 1/4 or if its a mile the other 3/4 they only pick up 30-80. Just crazyness, but these cars are a pure work or art.
  17. Car looks great! Should do the wheels with plastidip, would be murdered out, plus i think it would look damn good. MURDER NOVA!!!
  18. Looks badass! Some pics from a real camera would probably make it look a lot better. Also i dont know how many times ive thought about starting a car plasti-dipping business. Looks like he already did and is doing well... damn!
  19. Theyll probably just let it slide, being your car is registered in a diff state and there was no guy there.
  20. I like the 135i idea, with a tune you can make good power with those, not to mention its a bimmer.
  21. I heard an O-Ring failed on the car causing the car fire. Was it a members car on here?
  22. Wow pure crazyness right there! Wonder if he didnt pull the chute if he would of been able to save it enough and come back around him.
  23. DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY
  24. If anyone minds telling, what kinda car was it? Was it a members on here?
  25. This cant be any more dead on. Ive used two diff people that used to be on here that are no longer on the site, but one of them was an awesome tech and was a friend. As far as Rob ive never had a problem with him personally, but i have had problems with my car at his shop. Ive talked to him about what was done incorrectly on my car, and all he said was "Someone else was working with me at the time, so i didnt do it". I had already had the problem fixed by the other mechanic on here, but who hires people to there shop and doesnt make sure the work THEY are doing and letting the cars OUT OF THERE SHOP back to the CUSTOMER without making sure its 100%. I dont want to go into detail about what was done, but it is something that anyone with any knowledge about cars should not do. The other person who is no longer with us (Will) was an AWESOME mechanic when he was around. When he was working on my car he would go over everything with me in GREAT detail, talk about different things we could do, and just showed interest in my car. The work he did was always 100% and he never dissapointed me. I always liked how even though my 20 year old car wasnt like his Supercharged Nitrous Nova, or any of his others cars, but he always showed that he cared about my car and that was a lot for me. Too bad things in his life had to change and hes no longer on here, or a person most people would want to talk too or deal with. Anyways i just had to add my .02$, but its hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but once you do you should stay with them (Least how i look at it). Id rather have one shop / person working on my car over and over so they know it and know what theyve done and how theyve done it rather than going to 3 diff places for 3 diff things. EDIT: Ive actually had 3 people on this site work on my cars, the third being Alex L. There isnt a single bad word I can say about Alex or the work he did to my car. Hes a top notch guy and does top notch work. Just be nice if his shop wasn't so far from my place. If i needed work done on my car i would either take it to Alex, Dozzer (Who ive yet taken my car too but have heard nothing but GREAT things about him and his work), or IPS / PPC / Moorespeed.
