  1. Bringing a fellow Shelby owner - he has an SGT. Clean ride - see you soon!
  2. THAT. IS HILARIOUS!! This one's pretty good too:
  3. Here's a write up one of the TS members sent me on the 2010 SS. Sweeet! http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0908_2010_ford_shelby_gt500_super_snake_test/index.html
  4. I'm sure you do! I'd love to add a CAI, exhaust, pulley, tune... lower it throw razors on there (I love them)... But mannnn the wife ain't having it that's for sure - you don't have to tell me!
  5. I think I'm going to stay fairly conservative with the car right now, especially for warranty concerns. Someday a Whipple or TVS would be nice. I think KB is gearing up to produce a larger s/c as well. Mod wise it will have a CAI and pulley, and probably just axle back for now, next year. It really needs to be lowered.
  6. With this economy and my job? I'm lucky to have a lowly base GT500. One can dream!
  7. Ford warranties the 600hp version of the SS... They won't touch the 725hp version for the most part, although I've heard a few owners that have had the TSB completed under warranty...
  8. There we go - thanks Rob. I think they matched an SS against a Hennessey Challenger (I want to say). Haven't been able to find that - the video was deleted. At any rate, yes, the SS is going to be very on par with the Z06. +1 - I would like to see a comparison with two competent drivers. Why we haven't seen this yet, who knows. The 2010 GT500SS is going to be something to talk about too, that's for sure!
  9. Oh absolutely, but fitted with Eibach suspension and practically everything else. Now the ZR1 I imagine might outperform a 500SS, but that's not something that we've seen yet. I would LOVE to see that match up. It's very hard to find track info on the 500SS (0-60, g's, 1/4 mile times, etc). But, a Z06 wouldn't compare. http://www.shelbyautos.com/news.asp?id=15 Of course... if we're talking about the ZR1 and the true performance of both Chevy and Ford... that's when Ford's two-seater (the Ford GT) comes into play.
  10. An SS? No... no it wouldn't. A stock GT500 sure. But an SS?
  11. I guess it just really depends on where your pocket book is. I would justify having an SS for $80k, that's for damn sure! More so then I would justify spending $70k for a ZO6.
  12. The Shelby GT's right (SGT)? Yes those are a little different. Still, the SGT package is maybe another $8k, and if you're an enthusiast, it's a small price to pay for something with Carroll's name on it. It adds suspension, a CAI (worth another 20hp), a short throw, and some other cosmetic goodies.
  13. There are KR's for under $60k right now. Honestly... if you get a base GT500 for $38 grand, ship it off to SAI in Vegas and have it SS'd (for another 30k or so), you've got a good deal! Even the Ford GT's are selling for less. I think the moral of the story is... JUST DON'T WRECK THE THING!
  14. Hell Evo has the 500TT in the 7's now!! The one they put in the 9's, yeah they blew that one up! ADM is absolutely retarded, but for the '07 to '09 they're non-existant right now. So you're calling a GT500 for $38k capitalism? Hardly! This is the Super Snake. Let me guess... you didn't know that they make $100k Corvettes either? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye_gbkQZ-w4
  15. Yah you got that right... you can find 500's now for under MSRP, excluding the 2010's. These things almost remind me of the Terminators - people are putting stage 2's and 3's on them left and right. Of course, plenty have swapped out the Eaton with a KB or even a Whipple or TVS. Hellion even put out a twin turbo kit for them last year! Talk about crazy! The SS is still something to be desired though, like the one IPS had? I don't know what it is about them - they're bad ass!
  16. Carroll Shelby is Ford right now. He did a lot of work with Dodge during the 80's and everything, but apart from that, he stepped back in to play part in the current Shelby lineup...
  17. Lol you gotta tell me about it Sunday.
  18. Easy Tyler. Do some research before you flame Caroll Shelby.
  19. I agree with you 100%! Good luck on finding a GT500KR or SS clone!
  20. Yess it's really quite a bit of BS. The owners are going to have a fit... There was one with a damaged splitter, and I can't even remember what the cost was to fix it, but it was something WAY out there. I think SAI might make it right. Stay tuned...
  21. Lol. Yes, those are parts from the Shelby GT500KR (King of the Road). There is an ongoing discussion on TS about this too: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47780 Crazy. There are other posts on the TS forum as well. Want the rims from the KR? Almost impossible, as it seems that SAI only gives them to owners who have damaged product. They first have to return the damaged piece to SAI as well. So, the KR/SS parts really aren't available on the open market. These are VERY tight managed cars. +1 for making the valuable someday as collector cars (if it's this hard getting parts).
  22. The Millersport Sweet Corn Festival. HUH.
