Watch them, too, between the 71 interchange (north) and going east on 270, to the Morse road exit. There were two Sheriff cruisers today pegging drivers with their lazar deals. It is usually not that bad in that area, but they are staking out there lately. Usually, the only one is right past Westerville Rd and before 161 right past the divider...

Awesome - should be fun!! I am trying to round up some other Shelby's but we will see. Brian, we will work with you. Don't stress - people are coming out to see cars, meet people, and have a good time. If they went for a judged show, then they went to this one for the wrong reasons... I might add too, I have not met anyone on the CR forum... hope to see all you there!

Brandon, I live in Westerville but work off 23 and E. Campusview... When I have the car at work sometimes I like to detour home, and often take 23 north to Polaris, or something. Too bad I did not see you, I would have LOVED to see that SS!! There is also another Shelby owner in North Westerville who has my twin (same color, etc), but it is a 2007, not a 2008. - Gabe

Really the KR and SS are all extended versions of the current GT500. The only difference are bolt on's, suspension, tune, etc. They all use the same 5.4L iron block, heads, tranny... There are plenty of people that deck out these cars... TVS s/chargers, KB, some have whippled, CAI's, exhaust... there are a few running a twin turbo kit... the options are endless. My "stock" Shelby is currently getting a new drive shaft. It will have mods someday.

There are "two" SS's - keep the warranty and they will give you 600hp; forgo the warranty and they will tweak it to 725hp. The Hellion kit is off the hook!! Evolution Performance put the first GT500 in the 7's with that setup...

Yes the Shelby is "stock"... complete with all the goodies. CJ... last I heard/seen, your car was exhibiting angel dust from the exhaust. Let me know when you have it fixed and we will have some fun. Until then... I can beat you with my stock moped.

You will not regret it!! Shelby and SVT did an outstanding job on the new "Cobras." Beware of the current clutch problems with the pre 9/08 platforms, though. The TSB is everywhere. Here is a good question for you, Brian - how do you feel, and what is your input on running cutouts on the GT500? Would this merit a tune? I have had very mixed emotions (to put it lightly)...

A Shelby GT500 SS... I would expect nothing less!! That's awesome!!

Mike... were you in your Shelby? Sucks if the head gasket was in that, buddy-oh!!

Do they actually have races held for this thing??
