  1. Not to throw another brand in the mix but I have a Savage bolt action. They have around 150 different versions. I love the Accutrigger, its the same trigger as my Savage 6.5 creedmoor. For the money they make very good accurate rifles out of the box and there is a bunch of aftermarket support for their line of rifles too.
  2. I want to get something nicer than a 2003 ford explorer and or something more fun than a Pontiac G6. :dumb:
  3. I know we got quite a few gamers out there Epic is having a $10 coupon off any $15 or more purchase. Pretty good deal on some games out there with this coupon. https://slickdeals.net/f/14708165-claim-unlimited-10-epic-coupon-to-use-on-eligible-games-of-14-99-epic-games?src=frontpage
  4. Had a big old heavy one that worked great before we moved. Sold it because I didn't want to move it. Wife wants another one thats smaller/easier to move/etc. One she could hopefully move and fold up/etc. So coming to CR for their infinite wisdom. - Smaller profile would be best for the space. - Lighter weight so it can be folded up/easier to move. - Cheaper the better as always. Could buy new but if anyone knows of some specific models I could maybe start searching the marketplace for too would be great. I'm in Cleveland too so if someone happens to have one here that probably wont be much help. Thanks though.

WRONG! I frequently see them on telephone poles too. :dumb:
  6. Don't forget the part where it's been sitting in the grass/mud under a bunch of shade trees. :dumb:
  7. Thanks for all the input guys. Going with the Orion SpaceProbe II. Thanks for the input about the Perkin's Observatory I'll let my brother know as they are still in the Columbus area. Almost pulled the trigger on The Gskyler Tim (damn Amazon and how easy you are haha).
  8. Anyone know jack shit about Telescopes? My nieces one in particular are really getting into space and my Brother is more than down to learn and play with a telescope to teach them and enjoy it with them. They are younger and I'm on a budget but wouldn't mind getting something they could grow with and enjoy for awhile. I just remember getting a telescope as a kid that was basically a more vertical spotting scope, aka it sucked for trying to look at space haha. :dumb: I want something better than that for them. If anyone has ideas of a somewhat user friendly telescope on a budget. Really looking for sub $200

    Gaming PC

Didn't know the hate of userbenchmark (though the mentioned comparison has the AMD card being significantly better so my post still stands the micro center build is way better than the amazon). Are there better websites for comparing cards & processors? I don't quite get the point about that memory doesn't affect performance in gaming yet you said the 16gig should be the target minimum... If it doesn't affect performance why can't he just go with 8gigs? Ding ding ding it DOES affect performance substantially in some games. Other games you wouldn't notice a difference. Very large games GTA5, Total War & other large Army Strategy games and such, City and World Builder games, etc. absolutely benefit from 16 to even 32gigs of ram. I played quite a bit of Total War games and City builders and upgraded to 32gigs because of this and made a big difference. I'm not trying to start a pissing contest I'm absolutely sure you know 1000x more about PC's than I do. But stating memory doesn't effect gaming performance is wrong it absolutely does.

The microcenter one James linked too is significantly better than the Amazon link you provided. Per previous response I have a powerspec/Microcenter private label PC myself. My budget was different but the build quality and performance is amazing for the money. Biggest things you are really comparing in this build is Graphics cards Processor Memory (most will have 8GB or 16GB in your price point (should be DDR4 with current builds). 16GB is a significant performance upgrade over 8. The below website is great for comparing computer parts helps a lot with the graphics cards and processors especially when doing different brands. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1650-vs-AMD-RX-580/4039vs3923 There are a bunch of other things you can look at in a given build but those three things are where your performance mostly comes from. Having a SSD (Solid Slate Drive) as the harddrive is also highly recommended, even a small one for the operating system and your common files helps with load times. and such. Obviously the more space the better if you plan on installing a lot of things/games/etc. Going to make a very generic statement in that for the most part with PC's bigger numbers are better. With the two computers in this thread you have all three of the major performance factors are WORSE on the amazon PC. Microcenter PC 6 core 3.6 processor 16 GB of Ram 8GB Graphics Card VS. Amazon PC 6 core 3.4 Processor 8 GB of Ram 4GB Graphics card Hope this helps! I'm no professional though haha...
  11. I have one similar to this Kamado well my brother and one of my good friends too now and we all love them. Basically the offbrand green egg. Its amazing. There is a little bit of "upkeep" compared to the pellet smokers but I think thats part of the process and if you enjoy being the "Grillman" at the cookout you will absolutely enjoy watching over the smoker. There are a billion of things out there. Biggest advice I can say is start early and keep it low and slow. One thing these lump coal smokers can do is get hot, way to hot quickly so that is a huge negative compared to the pellet smokers which I understand are a lot easier to control. Just decide what kind of smoker you want more hands on (get one like this Kamado or Big Green egg/ etc.) if you want a more set it and forget it approach look into a pellet smoker. I have another buddy that has a pellet and he loves it and he's provided some pretty good smoked meats too. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Char-Griller-Akorn-Kamado-Kooker-Charcoal-Grill-in-Sapphire-Blue-E56720/301919839?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&mtc=Shopping-B-F_D28I-G-D28I-28_22_BBQ_GRILL-MULTI-NA-Feed-SMART-NA-NA-SMART_SHP&cm_mmc=Shopping-B-F_D28I-G-D28I-28_22_BBQ_GRILL-MULTI-NA-Feed-SMART-NA-NA-SMART_SHP-71700000070663294-58700006219952023-92700056187966501&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-_eS17uN7QIV5_HjBx3Tjg5EEAQYAiABEgJ95vD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

+1 for Microcenters Powerspec PC's in General. I spent over 2 months watching deals / potentially building my own from scratch and I got a great deal last holiday season on one of their models. My budget was more but I couldn't be happier with it so far. Really good build quality for a prebuilt, runs quiet and well. Definitely would recommend them over a lot of the other prebuilts. Alternatively might want to watch https://slickdeals.net/deals/desktop/ Now's a great time to buy these gaming desktops. Definitely be some legit deals in here now and throughout the holiday season.
  13. Thread Hijack (kinda) Looking for around a 32" SMART TV. Going to run youtube/netflix/etc. through it as an extra somewhat portable TV for the garage/other spots in the house. Not really looking for bigger. Cheaper the better. Let me know what you guys see out there. Prefer online I'm to lazy to go to the store.
  14. I've got inside information. They didn't panic, and they barely adjusted their production during the pandemic because they knew eventually there would be a surplus. You can only wipe your fucking ass so many times and they have a pretty good idea year after year how much the public needs. :dumb::lolguy:
  15. Or even $24 forever lol... Sites gonna die and a new one will pop up. There was another Gunlist or something it sucked though.
  16. Is it a one time fee or monthly? This sucks...
  17. I don't really care what side you are on but you can't say that Joe Biden is a good idea for president. If the democrats could have come up with an actual likable candidate this vote would be over just based on all the anti-trump hate (deserved or not)... The fact that Joe sucks so bad makes this election a coinflip.
  18. Yeah that thing was climbing fast all the way up to 331 I wonder how much more it had?
  19. + 1 For TCL TV's. Got our 65" last year for $600 out the door. Amazing TV so far.
  20. This is an amazing deal/gun for a great out of the box entry level bolt action.
  21. Good luck with buy. Love the p320. Might want to check (if you don't already) https://gun.deals/ I see good deals on p320's quite often.
  22. Sportsmanguide has some good sales for sure, sometimes its worth becoming a "member" even just to cancel it shortly after. Also check out... They post gun/ammo/accessory deals from all kinds of websites. https://gun.deals/
  23. Hahaha slow day? :gabe:
