Likely little to no new projects or purchases this year for me unless there is truly a deal or I decide to swap up inventory as in sell/trade something for something new, but pretty unlikely as I did a ton of that the last year or so and very happy with my current collection. As far as training, etc. the priority of my time will be spent with indoor pistol shooting with the wife to prepare for hopefully more USPSA pistol matches. I did 4 + one training seminar last year and really want to do more. Not trying to be a Master or anything but I'd like to be competitive local maybe take down a stage sometime? haha With that in mind I might upgrade my p320 to the x-five legion pistol for carry optics but that will more or less be a swap + a few hundred so not a huge budget concern. I would like to find the time and place to take my 6.5 creedmoor out at some serious range to see what it can do. With higher range factory ammo and without a ton of time or effort I shot a 0.5 MOA group would love to see it at 500+

Yeah I get you with the aluminum body and such I was just speaking from a performance standpoint the $300-$500 laptops are going to be insanely better than what you've been looking at. Also I wouldn't get to hung up on 16gigs of ram either. I have 16gigs on my desktop. I was streaming 2 videos, playing a new release game and downloading another with multiple instances of google going just to see what my performance would do and I didn't even use 8gigs doing all that. I don't have direct experience with any of the aluminum body current laptops but there are plenty out there for under $1000 just maybe not with 16 gigs of ram etc. But I don't think you need that for what you are doing.

If you've been using the same laptop for almost a decade if I was you I'd just jump up how often I replace my laptop and spend less. Buy a more budget friendly one for $500 or so and replace it in 2-4 years or so. You will get so much more bang for your buck, and really based on what you are using it for you won't see much if any noticeable loss in performance from spending $500-$1000 more. If you where doing rendering higher end gaming, etc. then you would require the $1000+ We just got a Lenovo 15.6" 330 series for like $350 on sale. Wife couldn't be happier and she does basically the same things browsing, videos, some light duty work on it. This $350 will blow your 10 year old laptop out of the water certainly.

One of the better (my personal favorite) of the 'pocket pistols' out there. Very good gun and a good price with the included equipment. This is my everyday carry in most scenario's. For those with bigger hands this is a great compromise as most pocket pistols like the LCP/LC9, etc. are to small. I get a good firm grip on this pistol and its way more accurate. GLWS

This is not news lol. We ALL knew it. So fucking bad. That being said buckeyes really should not have left it in the officials hands in anyway. They had their chances plenty of them. It really sucks but its why we live and die by college football the way we do. That being said I am really excited for next year as 2nd year with Ryan Day. Hope some of these guys on the fence stick around and really make next year something special.

If you followed my thread before I went with a AMD ryzen 7 3700x w/ a GTX 2070 super + 16gigs of ram build. Wondering what recommendations you might have for a primary monitor. My soon to be secondary monitor is a ASUS VG275Q 27”. So looking for something better than that really. Must be in the 27" to 32" range. Not really looking for curved or ultrawide because I like the two monitor setup and I already have the 27". Typically I browse/work/whatever on one monitor and game on the second. So anyone have some recommendations for the best gaming monitor for my specs and budget ($250-$400) ? I'll do some minimum console gaming off of it too so two HDMI ports would be nice but not necessary at all.

Thanks for the input Mike. (didn't know that about the "F") actually. I have a 75hz 27" w/ 1ms response as my primary. But that's going to become my secondary with this build. Have any good recommendations for something 27-32" for those two builds?

Honestly I think them winning a this game the way they did might due them some good. This team is extremely talented, but they are not unbeatable. Hopefully they learned that this weekend and come in to the playoffs knowing they have to show up.

Most the deals even for stuff I don't even need or want seem pretty underwhelming.

With PSU losing and Bama losing in a close game to the soon to be ranked #1 LSU... tOSU can ONLY be in the playoff undefeated. I think we will pull that off but we have the toughest road to remain undefeated thats for sure. Thats what we get for not getting the ESPN SEC love and being in one of if not the toughest divisions in the toughest conference in NCAA football.

I came here to say the same thing. Wish they slotted us at #2. I don't want any of those boys to get big heads before Penn State. Seems like Ryan Day's got a good handle on it though so I'm not too worried I don't think we are gonna see a clunker against Maryland or Rutgers like we have in past years... Not a lot of history to go on not that it really matters.
