  1. FYI to everyone. Always take your remaining PTO before you put your notice in.
  2. Oh yeah I forgot about the GREAT STUFF FOAM! :dumb:
  3. I've had good luck with sitting a large fire at the building, if thats not an option... poison or traps should be fine if you are dealing with a few mice. I feel like you do some research on some traps and place them (if they are poison) where the dog cannot get to them. behind the washer/dryer, underneath the sink, etc. We've had more of an issue with insects in the past(ants to be exact) and find that making sure all containers are air-tight are a huge help. A "Chip-clip" is not air-tight! They are really only coming around, or rather staying because they smell/are after food so might want to consider what they have access too. A little bit of DIY/Extra effort help our issue. Growing up (in the country next to farm fields) we always did the peanut butter/etc. snap traps. Just place PLENTY of those and you will be fine. I remember dad would just place 20+ of them. again places (we had cats so that's even harder than a dog) can't get to and you will be fine. Whatever you go with I DO NOT think a few mice is necessary to consider a professional. You get some kind of beetle, bee, termite, large rodent infestation then yeah move on to the professionals. A few mice, go to Walmart or Amazon and order some traps whatever you want to mess with. Close up your food extra good and CLEAN the kitchen (no crumbs, etc.) your problem will be solved.
  4. Some clown on my facebook feed said and I quote... " There you go army thats why you should stay out of the big house". Dude your team almost lost AT HOME to army. In double overtime... 7. Close to the liberty bell and all that jazz. We have no plans other than to visit Eastern State Penitentiary. What would CR recommend? Looking of sights and food. One night for sure we are looking for a more upscale dining experience for sure. We are staying a few blocks south of Philly City Hall but will have a car. Also that being considered any secrets or ideas for how to save on parking? From what I researched it appears there are garages with "in and out" privileges but the ones I found basically just charge you every time you enter. So not quite what I had in mind...
  8. Yeah it was my first match so I'm not to upset just wanted to learn from it. Sucks because I would have scored #9 out of #105 for the day on that course (texas star among a few others) I did really good. Would have bumped my standings for the day by 21-25 spots lol!
  9. For those of you who are into USPSA I had a procedural error at my latest match failure to do a mandatory magazine change. The stage was setup basically you had 8 shots on the right and 7 shots to make on the left from one position. I fired the 8 on the right then fired the 7 on the left with no magazine change. I ended up the stage with a 0.57 because of this. Am i correct with understanding the rules that I incurred 7 penalties (one for each shot after not reloading) so my original score had I re-loaded would have been +70 points (considering all hits where alpha's). The 7 shots where on steel which I hit them all so all where alpha's. Obviously my score would have been slightly less than 70.57 with the added time of the reload... I'm just trying to understand the rules/scoring a bit better and wanted some clarification.
  10. Working its already done? :dumb:
  11. Only way to get rid of it is to use a ton of fire. Good luck and be safe. (not liable for anything) EDIT: Seriously just dig that shit up. Rent/borrow a tiller to break it up. Pull up like four to six inches of it. Put down a garden liner as Chris said and put some soil/mulch down.

    Anthony

Sorry to hear this. I know I've meet him at least once and been a long time member of this board/community. Be wishing for a fast recovery. Stay strong and be at his side! Best wishes.
  13. You could/should probably be closer to $400-$500 for your budget AR or at least you can be! I've seen prebuilts for around $400 so if you shop around you can make one for dirt cheap for sure. I don't have any actual build experience from scratch so I'll let those guys chime in. But definitely don't skimp on the mount/optic and trigger if you are looking for some serious accuracy.
  14. I guess if you had all the money you could want. OR wanted to be close to other "car guys" in a community. But for $120K I'll just go buy a plot of land NOT in the suburbs and build as big of a garage as I want. EDIT: That being say I want to see the "Parade of Condo's" for sure. Sign me up for that haha
  15. Whatever you do don't use 2 men and a truck moving company. Horrible experience with them. Scheduled to have a move from Cbus > Cleveland. They where supposed to be on location at 7:30AM. I called multiple times from 8-9:15 when I finally got ahold of a "manager" who said their driver cancelled and they would have to do the move another day. Long story short I ended up having to fire a scrub crew off craigslist the last minute because we had no other date possible to move. The Two men in a Truck company was so not understanding and couldn't be less helpful. They offered no recourse other than we could try another WEEKEND. as in they couldn't even figure out something to Move us the next day (Sunday). One of the worst experiences of my life besides family members passing, etc.
  16. They should give one account one free listing per year though. Would cover the average person who just wants to use craigslist like most people and not as a business hub. Sure businesses could abuse it and make multiple accounts but the time that would take to make and manage... you'd probably be better off just paying the $5.00 Also think its a little steep honestly from $0 to $5. Is that per month too or just one time till you take it down?
  17. I'm sure I'll get into IDPA at some point too going to focus on USPSA for now. From the little I've scene the IDPA does seem more 'normal defensive' situational. :lolguy: Good idea!
  18. Oh cool! thats exactly where I took my intro to practical shooting class. Will have to meet up there sometime if you end up going to an event. There is a club closer to Cleveland I was going to check out but Dynamic shooting definitely seems to know what they are doing and have a lot of knowledgeable and helpful guys. Thanks for the pointers. I picked up some snapcaps for dry firing and once my belt setup is in I'm going to practice reloads and dryfires. Sure my wife will be thrilled lol...
  19. I've attended an intro class/event out in the Youngstown area. I'm actually in Cleveland so not really local anymore unfortunately.
  20. Just wondering. Went to my first "intro" event in my area. just wondering who's out there if you got any pointers, recommended websites, gear, etc. Currently looking at shooting the Carry Optics Division based on current gear. :gabe:
