  1. Tyler, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! Feff
  2. Firehead: Most groups don't allow anyone under age 18 into an event because you have to be able to legally sign the liability waiver and produce a driver's license. Don't shoot the messenger! Feff
  3. I'll go with Cardinals and Steelers. Although I'd love to see Kurt Warner win another ring (just to show the St. Louis Rams football organization they were wrong), my money would be on the Steelers. Feff (Fair Weather Stick and Ball Fan)
  4. If you need a Monday morning grin.... http://www.unclejayexplains.com/media/UJ%2012-22-08.wmv Feff
  5. I'm partial to the AVO #2 and the shop of choice is Town & Country Tobacco in Manchester, Mo. We have a group of gents who get togehter there weekly to discuss money, sports, politics, etc., enjoy some spirits and smoke our favorite brand. Great place! Feff
  6. Track days, when run properly, are safe and an absolute blast. I appreciate the concern about an on/off-track incident but controls are put in place to monitor drivers and we have thrown "ass hats" our of events and including them on our black list. We in turn share this black list with several other regional groups. You'll find our (www.MVPTrackTime.com) events are well run, safe and offer a good amount of track time. I hope you guys join us at Putnam Park (April '09), Mid Ohio (October '09), etc. Happy Motoring! Feff
  7. Single barrel bourbon (neat). In No particular order my preferred brands are: Jack Daniels Single Barrel (Whiskey) Makers Mark Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve (23 Years Old) Stranahans Whiskey (Small Batch) If it must be a drink, a Manhattan. Feff
  8. Dark, I'll look for your call. AkumaNoZetto: Bring the front/all wheeler. We had a guy in a new Honda Civic with us last year at Putnam Park in our Novice run group. Only his second time on a road course and he was faster then just about everyone else in the Novice group including a LOT of high horsepower RWD cars. The AWD (Audi, Subaru, EVO, etc.) do fantastic. It's all about the driver and enjoying the track time! Feff
  9. Lot of tunes old and new, but the stereo always gets turned up on anything from Stevei Ray Vaugh (RIP), AC/DC, YES, E.L.P. and Asia. Feff PS: I won't admit to increasing the volume with my daughter in the car when Miley Cyrus comes on!!
  10. Radio: I was at a New Year's Eve party and someone asked about resoultions for the New Year. I said I was going to quit smoking and at midnight I put out my last cigarette. It's the only way I knew how to do it. Just quit and don't look back. Consider some sort of positive reward for yourself with the money you'll be saving by not buying smokes any longer. Great way to afford car activiites. Good luck! Feff
  11. Anthony: Yes, MVP Track Time is a private organization that rents out various tracks nationwide. We've predominanatly been in the Midwest but are patiently expanding. No membership dues, just regsitration fees for each event and a lot of track time with six, 20-minute run sessions for each of the three (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) run groups. We have qualifed instructors for the Novice drivers. Give me a call at (314) 249-3770 if there are any quesitons. We are right in your back yard with Putnam Park in April and Mid Ohio in October. as mentioned in an earlier post, for anyone who's never run a road course, Putnam Park (near Indy) is a great facility for beginners and experienced drivers. Happy Motoring! Feff

  13. Ditto! Keep looking for a clean C6 if you want the Vette. Salvage title becomes a bit of a PITA! Feff
  14. Completely mindless entertainment for an evening. Perfect after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Feff
  15. Kenny: I've been looking at litre bikes after being off two wheels for a while. Got an itch to ride again and do some track riding as well. Feff
  16. We (well the wife) has a Grand Cherokee Limited with the Hemi and we like the utility (two kids), safety (all-wheel-drive) and the ability to easily tow my race car. I do hate putting gas in it. I've tried to get wifey to trade up to a newer Grand Cherokee Ltd. diesel (Mercedes V-6 turbo diesel) for better towing (more torque at low RPM) and about 30% better fuel mileage. She hasn't said "Yes" to the new Jeep because they don't have the diesel in the color she prefers. Feff
  17. Andy: Entry fees vary by track and are available on our seb site at: http://www.mvptracktime.com/id47.html Mid Ohio, as an example, is $350 for the weekend or $250 for a single day. Hope you'll join us! Feff
  18. Maybe they'll go to WSB! Feff
  19. We (www.MVPTrackTime.com) are renting Mid Ohio the weekend of October 18-19, 2009. You guys are welcome to join us for some on-track fun. Feff
  20. Come to Mid Ohio with us (www.MVPTrackTime.com) October 17-18, 2009 and you can see the Radical. Maybe even a ride as it's a 2-seater. Feff
  21. My first auto love are Lotus'. I've owned, at various times, five Esprits ranging from a 1980 Esprit S2 (minor restoration project) to a 1999 Esprit V8. Daily drivers have included an Alfa 164 (great car but too many glitches), Jaguar XJR, Cadillac CTS-V (one of my favorite cars, period.) and a couple of Saab AERO. The Radical was my answer to not driving a street car on the track any longer. Most people look at me and ask "Who makes Radical?", even a fair amoung of raod-course drivers. Feff PS: The toaster missed the bathtub! :nutkick:
  22. Just picked it up in 2008. Did a weekend at Blackhawk Farms, a day on the full track at Autobahn Country Club and a day at Gateway International. In 2009 we will be at Mid Ohio, Putnam Park, Autobahn, Road Atlanta, VIR, Watkins Glen and Summit Point. Feff
  23. Probably a distant cousin as it's not a real popular last name. Lot of that German side of the family from Virginia. Feff
