I'm just testing the waters here. I want a C5 vette so bad I can taste it, so I'd like to see what I can get for my Z28 convertible. General information: It's dark blue, tan top, SS 17" wheels with 275s all the way around. Tan leather interior, power everything, keyless entry, cd player, factory alarm, factory tinted windows, front and rear defrost. I bought the car when it had 65k on it, and now it's in the upper 80k range. I religiously change the oil every 3k with Mobile 1 fully synthetic motor oil and a Mobile 1 oil filter. Things I've done since purchasing it: *Had tranny rebuilt by the owner of Dayton 5.0 (Mike?). Also replaced gears 2,3,and 4. *All new hydraulics (new slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder) Needless to say, the car shifts flawlessly. Parts list: *Ported Stock Throttle Body *Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch *B&M Ripper Shifter *ASP Underdrive Pulley Kit *K&N Air Filter *SLP Lid *LS6 Intake Manifold *Pacesetter Long Tube Headers *Pacesetter Off Road Y-Pipe *Magnaflow Bullet Style muffler *Custom Tune by Tracy Scott *160 Degree T-stat *Raptor Shift Light *Subframe connectors *6 point roll cage *G5X3 Camshaft *Hardened Pushrods *Patriot Gold Extreme Spring Kit Car dyno'd 404rwhp all motor. (before the pulley) Everything was professionally installed and tuned. When the cam was installed, I did 3 consecutive oil changes at different intervals to (immediately from driving home, 100 miles after, 200 miles after the last one). The car runs absolutely perfect and pulls strong. The best time I managed at kilkare was 12.06@116.3 with a 1.83 60 foot (before the pulley). Car still has a factory 10 bolt with 3.42 gear. I will entertain any reasonable offers. hey, statistics are on her side...but we live in a fucked up world where unfortunate things DO happen. Hell, I make sure my girl knows where I keep my gun and how to fire it JUST IN CASE one of those weird psycho fucks comes along. And you're damn right I want my girl to be able to go over 65mph in case it's an emergency...what if I'm bleeding or something! lol...but then again, she's a female driver...and I would argue that all female driven vehicles should be limited to 20mph top speed haha.

that wouldn't be good.. take it to a dealership or some place that's gonna charge you a lot, but has the tools/knowhow to fix it...or someone who knows what they're doing. too expensive a toy to fuck up b/c you're angry.

He might as well keep his stock cam then...and e-cam isn't going to do that much for him :/ Why not get your heads and intake and then get a custom ground cam? I mean ya get what you pay for...if you want a $125 out of the box cam, go for it. But don't expect it to be a beast. I will admit tho, my e-cam purred nicely.

ok, so it's got really high compression, and a good cam...gotcha. Still don't see how it's doing over 109 in the 1/8...unless there's more that you want to tell me

negative, you can get running cars for less...reliablility isn't something I would expect from any car costing $1000 or less tho...

if you're missing a gear 70% of the time...lack of a short throw shifter isn't the problem lol.

well if you do more in the 1/8 than i do in the 1/4, i would venture to say not too well! haha...but i am curious, how the fuck does one trap over 109mph in the 1/8 in a 289 with stock heads, and stock bottom end (assuming stock compression too) without nitrous or some power adder? Must be one badass intake mani!! hahaha
