  1. So, do you do body work or paint on cars? What's with the plastic surgeon for cars...also, it's surgeon, not surgen. I've truck bedlinered a car before.
  2. Well, I just took it for a spin around the neighborhood before working on it today and the ass end slides out quite nicely. After that I cleaned up the inside of the car and the trunk nicely and fixed some of the trunk liner because it wasn't secured properly, I also removed the headlights to do a restoration on them and get them looking clear again. It must make you feel soo good when you see somebody being more wetback than you, huh.
  3. It's always funny how people react when a girl gets on a car forum, lol. Welcome to CR.
  4. I still haven't completely ruled out a 7m or a 2jz :marc:

  6. Yeah, there is a shop here in Houston that does a complete swap with a turbo back exhaust and a tune included for $4100, that's why I was thinking of going that route. The cool thing I'm learning about these cars is that there are tons of inexpensive options from KA all the way to 2jz or lsx.
  7. Ok, now I'm considering making naked lady business cards, you guys have got me thinking. Anybody ever get the stripper trading cards they hand out in Las Vegas?
  8. For sure, actually, I'm going to wait till the snow stops to come back. Snow is better to look at on tv than to live with...of course there is the exception of snow drag nights.
  9. Come on dude, it's got a bullet hole in the hood to make up for it, lolz. I've heard a lot of people say that, especially since the KA is an iron block. I've actually priced it out and with how cheap these things are I could probably put together a turbo kit for it for under $500. That's actually something I was considering, but cost wise I can turbo this KA or go SR20DET for less than the cost of just an lsx engine alone.
  10. pretty much, the TB is bigger on the 2zz, and the layout is a little different than on the 1zz. They really are two completely different motors, it will probably be cheaper to just sell the kit to somebody as a whole and do a custom kit for the 2zz.
  11. Well, I decided that I wanted to build a car while I am down here in Houston for the remainder of the year and finally got one. I had the Subaru before, but I really missed having a rwd car that I could get the ass end out in. After looking at options I found a great deal on a 1995 Nissan 240SX. As far as the car goes, the KA motor in it runs perfectly, super cold a/c, working radio, power windows, etc... the car is in perfect condition mechanically. As far as the body goes, it is going to need a paint job (considers truck bedliner) and a new rear bumper, but I only payed $1200 for it, so I got a really great deal. As far as plans go I'd like to have an SR20DET swap done to it by the spring along with new wheels and a paint job. Anyways, here she is: http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/240_1.jpg http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/240_2.jpg http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/240_3.jpg http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/240_4.jpg Oh yeah, those are Centerline wheels, lolz. Totally baller.
  12. Wow, this one looks great! I think it's nice and simple and will work great. Thank you sooo much Jeff and Rachelle.
  13. Hmm, I actually like the layout on that Jeff (maybe not the car so much, lol), thanks a lot! I wonder if it's possible to make the bucket/sponge a little more clear? As far as the top hat/cane idea, I'm not sure what to think of that.
  14. So, while I'm here in Houston I've started a detailing business to earn some extra cash. In a couple of weeks I have an ad going into a local paper and I need some advice on it. It's black and white and 2 inches x 1 inch, right now it reads as follows: Houston Auto Butler Fine Automotive Detailing Wax/Clay Bar * Shampoo * On-site Services My Phone Number My questions are: 1. I've been looking for a clip art pic of a car that I can use in the ad that is simple and would look good in black and white, but I can't find any, any suggestions? 2. Would you guys change the wording on the ad at all? I don't have much room to write a whole lot and I don't want it to look too cluttered but at the same time, I want people to know what I do. Like I said before, this is in Houston so no, I can't detail your car, lolz. Thanks in advance for the help/opinions.
  15. Happy Bird-day Paul!!! http://www.newcelica.org/photopost/data/500/Big_Bird_14.jpg
  16. I once purchased a car off ebay that a guy refused to sell to me, he said the price wasn't high enough even though it passed the reserve.
  17. You will need a new manifold and piping, the intake is also bigger on the 2zz than the 1zz, and a Power FC to tune it. What kind of turbo comes on the TS kit?
  18. The Spyder is made for a track. Where you really catch those high horsepower Vette's and other cars is in braking.
  19. 1. Nitrous is just stupid on a Spyder, and anybody who would use it is just a dumbass. It's just not the point of the car. 2. When my 2zz Spyder was making 173whp I ran a 13.8, at 204whp I ran a 13.2. Not saying it was faster than anything, just thought you guys might want some actual times. 3. I think you should have done a 2zz swap before buying a turbo kit. The 1zz motor is basically made of glass, and you wouldn't have as much power at first, but in the end the 2zz makes much more power much more reliably.
  20. Holy crap Christian, look, those are the wheels I used to have on my truck (I know, how mexican of me)! Welcome to the site, I like the Camaro.
  21. Tomorrow. I should be able to do the sr20 swap with everything for under $6K including the car.
  22. Hmm...I'd say S14 240SX...light, rwd, reliable. But I am a little biased considering I just picked one up.
  23. Welcome to the site. I went through 4 sets of fn01r-c's on my MR2.
