  1. Fortunately nobody else in Washington shares your view that this is a "child's dream," not even the white house. It's like you've gotten so caught up in calling everything fake news you've forgotten the way the world actually works.
  2. It's just, like, my opinion, man, but I spent several posts "losing my mind" that might explain my rational. I don't really see you disagreeing with anything I said, though...
  3. You spread white nationalist propaganda. How do you feel about that?
  4. <sigh> Yeah, I must be brainwashed by the liberal media. To reiterate further, there are right-wing news sites that covered this story. This version on The Blaze is well written and fair, and I say that as someone generally skeptical of The Blaze. This version from World Net Daily (which the LN piece cites, ironically) toes the line, and I definitely don't like the bias soaked into the first couple of paragraphs, but it at least gives all the facts. Both of those are a far cry from the white nationalist propaganda that is the Liberty News version. BStowers, are you a white nationalist?
  5. Sorry, I wanted to come back to this and reiterate something. The Liberty News piece is white nationalist propaganda. You may thank that's hyperbolic, but my hope is that you realize it's not. It's a hit piece, based on a real event but omitting key details and intentionally skewed in order to to sell a narrative, which we're supposed to be against in this thread. Especially when that narrative is "white people are under attack." White. Nationalist. Propaganda.
  6. The "mainstream media" isn't reporting it because nobody cares. Here's the "other side." Highlights: - There was a racial incident on campus, something about bananas being hung around campus. Wonderful. - Black students protested. They had 3 demands, the most "radical" of which was requesting that the student center be declare a "sanctuary" for people of color for the remainder of the semester, which was about 2 weeks by my math. - The Provost for the university (WTF is a provost?) showed up, acquiesced to their demands, and the protest dispersed, having been declared a success. There's no mention of whether or not white students were actually barred from the student center, because I don't know what a "sanctuary for people of color" actually means. Assuming it's true, which I'm hesitant to do because I'm a natural skeptic, that would leave me feeling squicky. But, it was temporary, a response to a racist incident, already over, and I'm not a student at AU so I don't really care either way. LibertyNews seems like a garbage news source that's trying to sell a biased narrative to scared white people that they're under attack. I think everyone would do best to avoid it.
  7. How the hell is Polaris "city life," shit's already in the sticks.
  8. Santa Clause 2. Tim Allen was great in Galaxy Quest, and I watched me the hell out of some Home Improvement. I like him as a person, but given his recent work I'm surprised his show was doing as well as it was. Good for him, I say, and I'm sure he's upset at being cancelled when his ratings were solid. I hope it wasn't because of his politics, because if so that's BS, but I honestly don't really care.
  9. She gave an interview, she said it was cancelled for "business and scheduling reasons." That's all I know. I'm not making a call either way because I don't care, I really don't care about what happens to Tim Allen or some network show that I can't even watch because cable is dead to me. If not caring is an extremist position then fuck me. Point is, in a thread where people are accused of buying into a media narrative, we suddenly get a shining example....
  10. Let's try this out. Where did you hear that "Last Man Standing" was cancelled because of Tim Allen's politics? Was it the conservative media? Do they have a narrative they're trying to sell you? Maybe a narrative about liberal tolerance?!? From the president of ABC Entertainment: Believe what you want to believe, but don't give me this bullshit in a thread where everyone is bitching about media bias. Jesus fuck, the lack of awareness is astounding.
  11. But how can you tell? Clearly I lack the critical thinking skills required to differentiate facts from non facts!
  12. Are you saying that the media is fake? Fake news? Surely not ALL the media. Trump says Fox and Friends is good, should I trust my president and watch Fox and Friends?
  13. I'm serious, you're dishing out great advice and I'd like to know more about how I can ensure my worldview is accurate.
  14. How can I make sure my devices are really off? Should I use some kind of a faraday EM radiation blocking mechanism? A metal film of some kind? Perhaps a foil?
  15. But which safe space? Fox News? Breitbart? InfoWars?
  16. My first dog was non-functional with the gentle leader as well. What worked was a week of training with little bits of hot dog in my pocket, teaching him to heel. It takes time but it worked, he wasn't a rockstar at it but he learned that I was in charge and if he started pulling too much I just called his name and he'd come back to me for head rubs. He was a smart dog, I'll miss him. My current dog is dumb as shit and wouldn't eat a sirloin if I shoved it down her throat if we're outside, because squirrels are outside. She pulls like hell with the harness I got her, but less so than with a regular collar. I can't train her because she won't take treats, I'm honestly considering a choke collar even though I don't like them.
  17. True, did you hear the one about Trump secretly being a Muslim Kenyan? Crazy leftist media... When will they stop being so crazy!
  18. Just curious, why didn't they work out?
  19. I can't tell if you're defending Trump's leadership abilities or not.
  20. I don't know who this guy is, he's a conservative radio host and columnist but he's an anti-Trumper and I have no idea if he's credible, but...
  21. So, hi, I'm greg, 15 years USAF and 6 years with USAF intel. The government is made out of people, and people have diverse backgrounds and beliefs. A republican managing an organization containing democrats is not unusual. In fact, based on my observations for the last 6 years, I think it's safe to say that the IC as a whole leans right. Like 75% conservative, would be my guess. So what you're saying is true, undoubtedly, that the leakers are most likely Obama voters, but Obama had to deal with a shit-ton of Bush fans and didn't have as many leaks. Why might that be? Obama didn't attack the IC viciously when it suited him politically. Obama didn't appoint complete buffoons to high level positions who had to resign 24 days later. The IC grumbled under Obama, oh dear god they grumbled, but they knew where the ship was headed and that their opinions would be respected. Trump has lit the bridge on fire and now seems to think that pointing out the fire will help explain why he can't get across.
  22. Does Trump think that constantly saying that the IC leaks are the "real" story helps his case? IMHO the constant leaking is a big red flag for weak leadership.
