  1. Is there a remedy for those control arm bushings? Or just replace them every season? Also speed worries me at the track. Average speeds if a miata or E36 are lets say 89 and a corvette was 102. That is a lot faster to hit a tire wall.

Brakes on the mr2 were 400 for race pads, all 4,what is a vette?

As for heat, mr2 had great cooling. Does the vette need an aftermarket radiator or:megusta: oil cooler? Not the end of the world to add those.

  2. You saw the pics. Made these out of foam, wood, and lots of time. Moving to NY and no room in the truck or new house to store them. I had someone ask my neighbor why there was a cemetery so close to my house, they thought it was real. Cars can fit through the opening which is 10'+ wide

    You get:

2 pillars roughly 7.5 feet tall by 28" square

Made from 2x3, foam, and 1x3. Edges very durable, awesome stone texture. Light weight, about 50lbs each.

    Sign to connect them

Lights flicker if you plug it in

Supports so they don't fall over in the wind (they have been in 40mph)

3'-4' tall Tombstones with different sayings engraved

2 toxic waste jugs that light up and glow

    10 foam pumpkins painted black

40' of cemetery fencing made from 2x2 and pvc conduit.

Mannequin legs and arms to stick in the ground (these are awesome and freaky)

  3. Talked to the old battle axe last night. C5is not out of the picture. I think I'm going to Try this route. I do need top check my finances though. After w close in a house next month I need to add a out building/garage. Thinking a four car with a little room for a small workshop in the back. I have no idea what that will cost. It will be heard with water but only a gray water drain. I was mentally thinking 20k

Are tired and brakes expensive for aC5?

  4. Features a hard wood butcher block top. Solid wood legs. Easy wipe down doors and interior. Lots of storage with 2 movable shelves. Bought this 2 years ago. Used in a clean, non smoker, non kid home. Moving cross country, must sell. It was $350 new.

    Size: 57.5" long x 26" deep x 36" tall

Weighs around 100lbs. I can help load it in your vehicle

  5. Moving to NY soon and I don't have room for 4 cars. Just bought a BRZ, so I am selling the MR2. I don't want to, my first sports car and all owners have taken excellent care of it. I have had this car for 8 years and it is a joy to drive.

    Features:

T-tops! Total blast in the summer

    Turbo, pulls hard

    lightweight, handles fantastic

    great sound

huge folder of receipts for 20 years of stuff

    ABS

    Cruise

    Front and rear trunk

6" sub with amp under seat

    All buttons work, except AC

Random women talk to you when you are near this car

    Good:

Never driven in winter & garage kept

Original owners very anal about everything

No rust on body and only surface corrosion on some bolts

Every bolt has anti seize on it

    Drives straight

Pulls good, dyno'd 177 rwhp with Brian

    Paint is 7/10.

    Good brakes

New coolant, brake fluid, oil, plugs, cap/rotor, wires, battery, urthane suspension bits

Only driven 3,500 each year by me

    Only 144xxx miles on it

At 125k miles I had timing belt, water pump, clutch done.

    Full turbo back exhaust

    Bad:

Some white paint spots on driver seat, always been there since I bought it

Rear tires getting low on rubber

Very minor oil drip. Can't find it, 1 drip on floor once it is parked. Never have to add oil

A/C has a leak. I filled it 2 years ago, leaked out after 3 months. Worked when I bought it.

I don't want to sell, but I don't want to ship it to NY. I am putting it on CL for $4,900. I don't want to deal with the general public so I will sell it here for:

    $4,300

  6. So I am selling my MR2 and want to replace it with something a little newer. I also have never had a car with over 240hp (MR2).

    Goals:

drive at the track, doing Time Trial

    Maybe parking lot racing

    Spirited driving/Daily

    Wife should enjoy it too

$15k budget. Just bought a new truck, brz, house, and am moving to NY.

    Selling MR2 because:

no support in terms of advice or setup (no one has one which I do love/hate)

Hard to drive at the track. Slow spool turbo, gas is "on" or "off"

Sucks on the street as a daily(full exhaust to spool turbo faster, urthane motor mounts)

Wife used to like it, until I put exhaust and motor mounts on it

Starting to over heat at the track, don't want to put money into better cooling

    22 years old

    Thinking about:

    C5 :fuckyeah:

Race car out of the box. Fast. Z06 ones are over $15k. Everyone with a small penis has a corvette. Wife hates them, but I don't really care about that. What is maintenance like? Specifcally tires, brakes, rotors as they go quick at the track? Are the 96-03 models good (pre Z06) as they are cheap?

    Miata :fa:

Cheap, cheap, cheap. Fast in the turns. Takes a nap on the straights. I am 6'5" and don't fit into them without a race seat bolted to the floor. I need to wear a dress if I drive one. Brakes and tires are cheap. Lots of support

    350z

Best of both worlds. Hard to drive at the limit. Are parts expensive? Heavy

    S2000 :masturboy:

Honda reliable. I don't fit in these without a seat bolted to the floor. Parts are cheap. Decent support

    E36 M3

Older car. Handle great. BMW parts are expensive and require weird tools. Reliable and European don't go in the same sentence. Would have the same car as DasBorgen (Con) :fuuuu:

  7. Bought this a few years ago. Have since upgraded my system. Works great, sub hits pretty good. Wireless rear speakers, so no need to run wires across the room. Remote has a few small marks on it from a dog bite. System is in great shape and looks good. It also has an Ipod dock that charges and runs tunes.

  9. Moving and don't have room!

Tossing in a JVC receiver to power these bad boys. I think they only do prologic. I have never used it for anything but powering those speakers. RX-517VTN is the model of it.

    Just $50 for the receiver!

Bought these speakers back in 2000 for around $600 the set. The cabinets are filled with the following:

    15" High Compliance Woofer

    6 1/2" Specially Treated Midrange

    Wide Angle Dispersion Horn Tweeter

    Nominal 8 ohms

Power 150 Watts RMS with max power of 300 Watts.

    36" x18" x 12" deep and weight about 53lbs

The sound from these speakers is outstanding. Had them in my dorm room, then 2 different classrooms. They lite up a huge 100'x70' shop classroom.

Some scuffs on the cabinet from moving them 4 times. Few small tears in the cloth where it goes over the frame, cant see it from 5' away. Speakers and foam in great shape.

    CR $100 CL $125

  10. So I took the advice on here. I put a rough country 2" level kit on the front. I did the Line X bed coating with the UV protection and installed Weather Tech floor mats, which are pretty sweet. I ordered weather tech mud flaps for the truck and some floor mats for the BRZ (wife is a slob).

I also installed this swing box. I did not want a truck box in a short bed. This folds out of the way, swings out, and easy to remove off the hinges.
