Ever thought about a 3s-gte swap? I dont know if there popular with that model of mr2, but there badass motors.

Its alota money to go that swap route and alot more has to be changed. I totally agree with you its a better motor. The new thing is k20 swap. Not turboed but its still called a down pipe (catless).

No. I have the swap header sitting in my living room for a few months now (got a good deal on it) thought it would motivate me to swap faster but it didnt.

I havnt read through the entire thead, but what else other than the cosmetic mods have you done?

In my original post I just put basic bolt ons. To get more in depth.... intake, down pipe, hks catback (not coffee can style). Depending on how money goes this year would like to do a 2zz swap (adds 40hp). If that cannot happen just replace my clutch and get a lightweight flywheel. Looking into getting a TRD short shifter which for the MR2 is a Japan order only item but might buy a celica one(still have in the US) and just use my cage.

no i didnt. guess i just bypassed it. but to answer you im down to race anything or anyone. for me its not about winning or losing (hopefully i win more than i loose:)). to me its about enjoying what i like to do which is drive my car.

altezza is the IS300 every where else or they made a IS200

tails are stock early models were more clear....later ones were a darker background

and it still looks better than the MR2

no actually im not. im really sad i lost my car and that one of the main reasons i dont drink anymore. i could of easily it a pole and died luckily there wasnt one.

I was drinking and finshed a 12pk of beast ice while watching Old School. I decided I needed more beer but had to hussle because the it was almost bar closing time (around here you can buy beer to go idk if other bars do that).

Well I jumped in my car and proceeded to drive. There are two sets of tracks going into dtw. The first set is a 2 set and quite a big hill hit that around 50. Laughed it off then droped in down to go faster (reports said around 80mph)on the super small one set. I dont rember what all happened but I seen the court cams and the car was basicly spinning like a tornado took out some curbs street signs ect. Ended up a foot away from hitting the court house.

had a IS300 I bought new loved that car but I totaled it.

of course it has potential...but ricing it out doesnt make it a race car lol...i guess he hasnt caught on yet

The goal of my car is to make it well rounded. Looks as well as speed. If you feel that makes me a "ricer" Im sorry I failed you, but my cars ment to please no one but myself.

A little background that prolly Ill get ridiculed for. Toyota worked with Lotus engineers on building this car. The Elise is one of my dream cars that I saddy cannot afford but subsequently modeling my car after the Lotus. Car and drive called the Spyder the poor mans Porsche I rather have a poor mans Lotus.

First my talon is a beater and 2nd, how are you going to call my bike a pos when you wont even race me....ill even race you at a road course.

smart choice on having it as your beater i have a expedition as mine.....horrible on gas.

LittleRocket did my swap for me. He is by far the best person I could suggest to do the work. He built the 2zz head, the c60, and tuned the pfc. Although, I know MWR is pretty close to us here, and they use swap parts from Littlerocket.

LR rep is pretty much dimished. He takes forever to do things (as in 3+ months in swaps shipping parts sometimes a year) I was thinking JNZ aka Greenstreak. MWR seems to high in price. Id like to have a local shop do it but cannot find a shop who mainly deals with tuner cars around my area.

I didnt want to shit in this thread but you have to wonder why there are only 11 of these vented hoods in the U.S. What again are you venting?

They retailed for $1500 US + shipping from Japan. Eventually it will help cool my radiator better but mostly for looks.

As far a the hood goes its a Monocraft reproduction done buy a another spyder owner. He had a mold made and producded 2 cfs and 8 fgs. As it stands right now theres only 11 of those hoods known to be in the US.

As of now I dont have a front bin. I plan on doing something about that this year.

I pretty much gave up on cleveland racing due to the super immaturity on that site.

Its cool and all to bust balls but they dont know how to stop. Most of them are just flat out idots.

I Can respect some of the more 'tuner scene mods' when done correctly. I'd dig the CF if you had a more neutral or metalic paint. And some rims would definitly go along ways to cleaning the look up so long as you pick the right ones. The wing doesn't really help your look at all, maybe a more stock looking fiberglass one but that big airplane wing no.

 

Lambo doors... Thats been covered. But good intro and hang in there it's a cool site with alot of cool knowledgable guys they just like to rag on you a little bit I've gotten it trust me you don't Drive a Del Slow and not hear bout it! XD

Just to clarify I got my vertical door kit 50%off thats pretty much why I got it. It was the worse mod I have done. I do regret it but theres no market to take them off and resell them.

Quit kidding yourself, you and I both know our cars barely go faster than 65mph.

 

 

Honestly, even though you're probably on the spyderchat forums just like me, I still can't stand half the retards on that board. They're all stuck in the '90s as far as vehicle mods, and all have the worst taste... in just about everything.
