We know that your car doesn't live on a dyno. So we concentrate on all aspects of the vehicles operating conditions. Driveability, reliability and consistency are just as,if not more important than maximum power output. How do we achieve this? 1.We start with a safety and mechanical inspection. Because you can't properly tune a broken car.. 2.We install one of our many standalone wideband meters. We do this to every car we do custom tuning tune on. By monitoring the AFR's in realtime both on and off the dyno. We are able to properly tune the entire driving range. 3.We calibrate your car on the street under normal driving conditions. This allows us to create a stock(or custom tailored) driving experience under normal conditions. We also work on fuel economy at this time. 4.We strap your car down to the dyno. Here we concetrate on smooth maximum power delivery and safety of the tune. 5.We return to the street for verification of power and to confirm that drivablity has not been compromised. 6.You can now enjoy your professionally tuned vehicle. Give us a call to schedule an appointment. 614-551-7718 740-377-TUNE

  7. With just a couple mods the car almost made up for its drive train loss. Over all it was a fun car to drive and I expect it to do well autocrossing this year. Make/Model:1999 Honda Civic Si. 10. There is always this great debate over dynos.
  11. Eric tuned this car back in 2006, the customer made a few changes and wanted to get it touched up. He switched his headers and put on mufflers (So he says my ears are still ringing). He races the car PCA. About the car: Porsche Flat 6 2.2 purpose built as he put it to me. 12:1 compression Cams (I'm not sure which). Tec3 901 gearbox This car don't make any type of insane number I just though it was a neat car. http://www.40roll.com/ats/914racecar.jpg Nothing insane but he did pickup 10hp and 6tq over his old setup. and it was across the board. Sorry I don't have the old dynos they where printed and I did not think to take a snap shot of them. http://www.40roll.com/ats/IMG_0299.JPG http://www.40roll.com/ats/IMG_0300.JPG For our non street car clients we also provide track side support.
  12. Backwards. Dynopak reads higher. We actually read lower then PPC's mustang dyno.
  13. Saturday we had a extremely responsive 07 WRX with a VF43. On regular pump gas made some very nice numbers. The car has a vf43 and supporting mods. I stand corrected on the Cobra. It's an 03 with the 4.6. I personally would like to have a Cobra R. Guess that's the road racer in me. Lol. We will take boost out of the equation then. I really like the NSX personally. They are very well balanced cars. But they were under powered and over geared in the US market. Are you talking about Cosworth F1,CART or Escort engines? I am a fan of all. And know what they are capable of. All of which were available boosted depending on the era. In the BSHP game,as far as I know, the F20C S2000 engine still holds the record for n/a at 120hp per liter. I have worked on and driven a Super Snake. Nice car! Makes great power out of the box. Still kinda heavy for my liking though. I'm more of a GM fan when it comes to domestics. I will even take a jab on this one...A civic will get you to work and back. A Snake will get you tickets along the way. Lol.

I also completely agree with Jones and Kirks5oh. Being reasonable with what you do now... Be it school, finances, cars, women, etc will pay off in the end. Always keep in mind your goals. But don't let the moment take you blindsided. If you are really looking for a good turbocharged daily driver that can still be fun, look into a Jap car. I know that some folks will disagree. I have worked on and tuned both Japs,Euros and domestics. I will also be the first to admit that like euro turbo cars. But they are not the cheapest to mod CORRECTLY. Nor are they the least expensive to maintain. Unless you can turn your own wrenches. As far as domestic turbo's go... You don't have many choices. Newer Cobalts and SRT4's are all that is available. And quite fun to drive I might add.

Rob, 4.6 2v Ford making 425whp??? With a good FI setup or a 100 shot maybe. And a good tune of course! 5.4l Cobra's...We will see what happens soon enough on a upcoming Kenne Bell car with E85. Although,I admit this a strong block from the factory, you paid dearly for it when it was new. I think you are forgetting about BSHP per liter. For comparison sake... If a Subaru,Mitsu or Honda had 4.6+liters...Well! It'd be alot faster than any average domestic. I'm not hating here. I have owned my fair share of domestics. But I also realize that the imports have a leg up when it comes to making the most per liter in stock or mildly modded trim. Now back to the original thread.

Mistu and Subaru have wonderful tuning markets that will allow you to create more unique power combos to obtain power at the lowest tuning cost. The SRT-4 bottom end has been known to go to 500+. but your still fwd. An older 7m-gte in good condition is not bad consideration. The Audi S4 2.7tt is a pretty sweet car. The Legacy GT is not a bad platform, but it's larger then most of the other cars sans the S4
  23. I rented a viper in hawaii for almost 350$ for a day so yes I would rent this If I was going to some type of special occasion. I would never rent it out.
