  1. I haven’t been watching hockey forever but at least recent hockey this is the most physical series I’ve seen. I’m sure there were more back in the day when they let them rough each other up more.

I think Tampa is soft and never had to play real physical to win and in the regular season teams didn’t care enough to “out tough” them but thats exactly what the jackets did and Tampa wasn’t ready. Boston however is every bit as physical as we are and it shows. Whoever makes it out of this series will be bloody and bruised but they’ll be prepared for whoever is ahead

  2. Hillary and Obama had no problem giving their condolences to the Muslim community, acknowledging that they are in fact, Muslims after the NZ shooting. They then condemned the “alt-right” and “white people” which is fine given the situation, however why are they not calling out Muslims for this? If you can’t see the hypocrisy, you’re either blind or have a mental disorder.
  3. You understand that among those politicians you listed, there isn't an equivalence, right? there is a difference between perspective, spin, and outright fabrication - and that pointing out that they "lied" is the reason to fact check their statements and research the issues and not just single handily be dismissive of all politicians just because they don't meet your specific fetish of how you view "truth".

The amount in which Trump has deceived the american public is unprecedented - it's more in both frequency, inaccuracy, and just sheer volume than has been seen before in any previous administration. So I don't think anybody is treating this like "he lied" like it's business as usual levels of spin in politics.

Sounds like you could replace Trump with media here. Lying as a politician is absolutely business as usual. Since we're quoting here, like the great Charles Barkley once said "Poor people have been voting democrat for 50 years and they're still poor." Democrats hold their hands out like they're some type of savior to buy votes from the weak in this country.

Quick Question: do you think Trump has actually "bettered our country"? In all metrics he seems to have done worse than his predecessor and it just doesn't look to be bearing out there is improvement. But if you think there is, I'm all ears as to what it is.

Yes. He has done a lot of good for the country but I know you have your blinders on or you'll attribute it to "policies already in motion." Because that's what you do, you want Trump to fail at all costs even if it means America failing because of it. This is the liberal mindset today. Trump has exposed this. 2020 is going to be such a landslide win for Trump because the left has shot themselves in the foot time and time again ever since he was elected. They grasp for anything and everything they can and continually fail. This only pushes people on their side further away to the point of becoming a Trumper. I know A LOT of people from personal experience that have moved to the right because of how outrageous the left in America has become.

Kerry, who in America is worse off now than under Obama?

  4. if Bernie is the Dems go to, fucking LOL.

Trump lied? Did Obama lie? Did Bush lie? Did Clinton lie? Did Reagan lie? Can you come up with a better fucking argument? Every person on fucking earth lies. If you think some form of God himself is going to come down and become President, good fucking luck.

I'm okay with Trump losing in 2020 if it is to someone who can help continue to better our country. I think people need to understand the difference between "rooting for a politician or rooting against" like it's your favorite sports team or rival and rooting for our country. I think we all probably have similar goals in mind, just different ways of how to accomplish it. I don't think Bernie is the answer, but if the Dems think he's their best shot, good luck lmao.

  5. What a stern admonition. I'm sure he'll stop now.

People actually need to not vote for this clown next time around. "Yes, Trump lies, but all politicians lie, what do you expect?" BS, not all politicians say wind generators give you cancer, this is extreme. "I don't like that he lies, but I can't vote for a Democrat." Aggghhh then we're fucked as a country because we clearly have no minimum standards other than party affiliation.

Do the democrats have anyone worth mentioning yet for 2020? The wrong mentality, I'm voting for ANYONE other than Trump in 2020 because ORANGE MAN BAD!!! Okay, who are you voting for and why? How do you know the democratic nominee will be any better? What are their policies?

  6. Your problem was taking an 18" barrel home defense gun out and thinking it would perform well. That's why it did "okay" at best. Not because it's a Remington or an 870 but because it's the shortest barrel you can legally own and terrible for accuracy. YOU can be pretty good but, as with most things, use the right tool for the right job.

I'm a hunter. I'd be a fool to take an 18" home defense shotgun into the woods and expect IT to perform. It would be my fault if I didn't get anything due to choosing to take the wrong firearm with me.

Good info, Clay. Short read and right to the point.

    Another decent write up.

Nobody uses an 18" shotgun for anything other than fun and defense (which they hopefully never have to actually do).

At the time it was my first time clay shooting, it was for a work event, rentals were available with us in our group and I had only shot my 870 once at the range prior to going to this. I saw it as an opportunity to get some more practice with it for free. Obviously it wasn't the ideal gun for clay shooting and that's why I didn't recommend it.

  7. Typical CR responses.

Clay: "Hey guys, I need a gas sipper. Pref FWD 4cyl with 4 doors. Whatcha recommend?"

CR: "Have you looked into a Veyron?"

Howard already answered your question for your price point. $200-250 doesn't go as far these days. That's the price point for a break action single shot 12 gauge new.

A Remington 1100 would be a great suggestion so if anyone can find me one for $250 or less let me know and I'll buy a few. "It's a little more," typically doesn't mean, "it costs 4 times what you want to spend."

    Semi-Auto

    $200-250

    Pick one.

Unless you're talking some crap brand you aren't finding a good one for that range.

I love Benelli shotty's. Great suggestion. (Yeah, I am pretty sure this is a sarcastic response, but just to help Clay I've provided a link.)

Okay, but that's like making a thread

"Hey, I want a car that runs 11's in the 1/4 but also handles well for auto cross. Budget $5000. Suggestions?"

When you have criteria like Clay provided, there is no "good" answer. Clay is going to have to either spend more money for a good gun for the purposes he's stated or he's going to be cheap and buy a piece of shit that he will likely have to replaced within a year. Most of us are simply trying to persuade him into not rushing and maybe saving a little more for something better, either because we've made this mistake before or we know people who have. I bought my Remington 870 for $250 on sale. I tried taking it clay shooting at Blackwing and it did "okay" at best. 18" barrel, pump action definitely better suited for the purposes I bought it for, home defense.

  8. I wish conservatives did too.

eta: But seriously, this is exactly what I'm talking about. Rather than just taking the obvious lead here to say, "Yes, Trump has faults that I don't like," you made it all about scoring points against liberals. Why?

So you agree both sides do this? Why do you only point out when conservatives do it? Do as I say, not as I do?

I qualified twice on the M16 and once on the M9, that doesn't make me an expert on barrel length and bayonet attachments. I'm willing to admit that.

If I ever have to actually pick up arms to defend the country we're already fucked.

So what made you change your mind on “assault weapons?”

  9. Lastly, in the last 2 years Trump has dominated a lot of these discussions, and I don't think a lot of Trump's antics fall neatly along partisan ideology. He's an authoritarian bully with an extremely divisive and ineffective "leadership" style. Like Clay, I'm baffled as to how conservatives fell in line so quickly behind Trump and seem so eager to write off criticisms of his faults as "liberal whining." The dude has faults, and I wish more people held him accountable for those faults instead of finding ways to turn those criticisms against liberals.

I wish Liberals held the media accountable for spreading hatred and fake news.

My views on gun control have changed a lot, largely from early arguments on this board. I've stated several times that I'm in favor of the 2nd amendment and personal ownership of firearms, but I previously was OK with state restrictions as a matter of states rights, and I was OK with an assault weapons ban because I was ignorant about assault weapons. I've since changed my stance on both, although I've certainly argued that being allowed to own a gun doesn't mean that it's good if everyone does.

lolwut? You are in the military and don't understand assault weapons?

I'm in the military you twat.
  10. Even though it resulted in criminals sent to jail and their assets rightfully seized for the US taxpayer? Do you want to set the criminals free and give them the money back?

How much did it cost the US taxpayers over 2 years? Was the ultimate purpose of the investigation to put those people in jail or put Trump in jail? Was the investigation a success?

  11. It is petty to hear pro-Trump people wanting to talk about Mueller’s investigation, now that its released going “L@@K DUMB LIBERALS! NO INDICTMENTS MEANS EVERYTHING’S FINE!!!1!!”

The fact that the investigation legitimately happened is shame enough.

The fact that an investigation legitimately happened is absolutely a shame. Just not for the reason you think it is.

  12. “It was never about obstruction, it was about the payments to porn stars!!”

“It was never about porn payments, it was about nepotism in the WH”

For the Dems sake I hope they are able to stick him with something that can be prosecuted otherwise I fear mass suicide on the left.

Rachel Maddow (MSNBC) was crying on air after the Mueller investigation was released. Can you imagine crying because your President didn’t get indicted. Complete clown show. All they’re doing is pushing anyone not already on the far left away.
