  1. Take away Tennessee's QB, top WR, best defensive player and play the game at a neutral site and it evens things up a bit. Then we'd see who's actually better
  2. Yeah I actually did create an account there a couple days ago. Pumped to start getting out to some meets (probably not till spring though).
  3. Exactly. B1G teams build their teams with big uglies to compete in the climate up here where as SEC teams and other teams in the south don't have to worry about that so they just go for speed. This makes a big difference in recruiting as well. The fact that Urban can get these Florida and Texas guys to leave their comfy warm weather states to come play in shit weather says something.
  4. Okay, so the Nebraska/Tennessee game is played in Nashville, the Georgia/TCU game is played in Memphis, the Michigan/FSU game is played in Miami. The southern schools have such an advantage is bowl games. Not saying it's a good idea to come up north to play in December/January but if the southern schools had to come up to B1G country and play in the middle of winter I don't think the games would be close.
  5. Looks good! I'll probably get ahold of you come early spring to detail the Vette  Can you PM me details on prices?
  6. Anyone else do the Bowl Pick em on Yahoo or ESPN? I did and my record is HORRIBLE. In my defense, I pretty much guessed on all of the games up to this point because like yenner said above, it's pretty much been 6-6 vs. 7-5 toilet bowl matchups with teams nobody has paid attention to all year. I can't wait for the Michigan/FSU game tonight. I think it could be a kinda classic.
  7. The cars on that site seem considerably cheaper than what you would get them for here. Like TT Supra's with under 100k miles that look pretty clean going for $15-25k
  8. Yeah, the B1G has made a good showing so far. The only embarrassing loss in my opinion is Maryland against Boston College but both are bottom feeders so it's really not a big deal. The fact that Minnesota was able to hold Washington St to 12 points is impressive and that Indiana SHOULD have beat one of the best Pac 12 teams (Utah) is also impressive even though they lost. There are a few big games tomorrow for the B1G. Nebraska/Tennessee and Michigan/Florida State. If the B1G could win those two, that would be huge.
  9. Does Brian at Dynotune do any work on them as well or just tuning alone? Who does the best work on LS cars around here?
  10. You're right. Arctic white is correct. Still very rare but a good detail to know.
  11. Seems like s split between crucial and Brian... Decisions decisions. Probably won't tune it until early spring so I've got some time.
  12. Franklinton is still a shithole. Our offices are off of Sullivant Avenue and this has to be the drug/prostitute capital of Columbus. I have heard that they are trying to clean it up. It would be a good investment, but I wouldn't expect to be anything worth living in for another 5-10 years.
  13. Yeah, I guess it will depend on how it does on the dyno and what % duty cycle those are running at. I don't want to push them too much and I don't really want to hold the car back.
  14. Did you see it on Tech? I got into contact with him about 8 hours after he posted it and put a deposit on it the next day. I was about to send a check to a dealership in NJ for a silver z06 they had and I told myself that I was for sure going to buy it UNLESS I came across a white FRC or z06 and sure enough the next day I found this one lol.
  15. Was curious as to how many of these are actually out there. From my research, I guess there were only 311 White FRC's made in 1999 and another 315 in 2000. In 2001 there were 352 speedway white z06's produced. So in total there are under 1000 white FRC C5's out there. I'm sure a lot less than that now since they've been around over 15 years. Pretty crazy!
  16. Going to be tough I think to buy anything that nice for that price in those areas. Houses near downtown that are in a safe area are outrageously pricey for what you get.
  17. Yeah, it needs new/bigger rear tires to make the stance look a little better. Just haven't decided if I want to keep this wheel setup or go to like a CCW. So he bought the car to fab up twin kits and intended to use this as a show car but I guess he's gotta free up some money for some other projects. The motor was actually taken out and they put a 427 in it and fabbed up a kit for it, hence the big fuel system and re-location of a lot of parts. The car pretty much sat in the garage and wasn't tested on the street (so he says). He seemed like a really nice guy, and the car seems to be in good shape, so I believe him. I've heard good things about Brian so I'll probably get in contact with him. The car has a dyno sheet making 404whp but it's from 09 so it's a little out of date, plus has some new parts. I don't want to spray the house down, but I'd like to run a 100-150 shot every once and a while so it seems like bigger injectors will be a must.
  18. So I finally got around to buying my childhood dream car. Like the title states, it's a 1999 Corvette FRC. I went up to Port Huron, Michigan to buy it. The owner of it owns Huron Speed who fabricates and sells turbo kits for LS Motors. Great guy and he's taken great care of the car as you can see in the pictures. This is honestly one of if not the cleanest C5 I've come across. The underbody, engine bay and interior is near perfect. I don't plan on really racing it, more just to cruise in, go to meets/shows and maybe get on it a little every once and a while, but I likely won't turn down a race, so don't tempt me please Here are the mods: Torquer V2 Cam Ported 5.3 heads Monster Twin Disc Clutch LG G2 Shocks and Coilovers LS6 Intake CAI Twin fuel Pumps - LPE in tank and a Magnafuel 4103 Pump that isn't hooked up but installed. XS Power Longtubes w/X-pipe Mangaflow Catback Z06 Wheels Z06 Seats Nitrous Express Direct Port Kit w/twin bottles The car is essentially complete for what I want, but there are a few additions I'd like to make. It has a fuel system set up for BIG power, except the injectors, so I'd like to get some 39-48lb injectors. Upgrade the rear end gears to something like a 3.90 and probably do a re-tune. Questions for LS guys... Roughly how much power can stock 99 injectors hold? Best place in Columbus to get a dyno tune? How much of a bitch is it to change the gears? http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a439/bolton4valve/Vette2.jpg http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a439/bolton4valve/Vette.jpg http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a439/bolton4valve/Vette%20Rear.jpg http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a439/bolton4valve/Vette%20Interior.jpg http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a439/bolton4valve/Vette%20Engine%20Bay.jpg http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a439/bolton4valve/Vette%20Underbody.jpg
  19. What power adder do you plan on using?
  20. You cherry pick whatever benefits you. It's so obvious that you're a troll. You need to try harder. Here are the facts... SEC = 1 top 10 team B1G = 3 top 10 teams Ohio State has played 4 top 10 teams. Alabama has played 1 top 10 team. You can't just pick and choose what you want to benefit your point. I mean, you can, but I just stated facts. Alabama is undefeated, yes. Could they be undefeated if they played 4 top 10 teams this year? Possibly. Could they have lost one of those games just like OSU, sure. We have no idea, but to say Alabama has played a tougher schedule than Ohio State and use your own ridiculous subjective opinions to back your case is laughable. I hope for your sake Alabama doesn't show up to the National Championship game like Ohio State did in 2006 counting their chickens before they hatch. When everyone pats you on the back and tells you how great and perfect you are, that's typically when you get exposed. We will find out who the best team in the country is on January 9th.
  21. With the amount of guys Ohio State is turning out to the NFL, guys want to come here to have the best opportunity to make it to the league. A lot of the talented guys around the country are now choosing between playing for an asshole (Nick Saban) or a more family friendly guy (Urban Meyer) when it comes to the elite programs where you're pretty much guaranteed a draft pick as long as you work hard and have talent.
  22. Kevin Wilson would be a solid replacement for Warriner. It's nuts how fast were turning coordinators now.
