  1. Yeah that's why the award is a joke. Heisman actually means the Quarterback that plays in the right system against poor defensive competition and puts up gaudy numbers against said competition. Lamar Jackson will win the heisman because he is exactly what they look for.
  2. He would if The Heisman presentation made any logical sense and they waited until after the playoff/bowl games to determine who the best player in the country is. Essentially what College football is telling us is that the playoff doesn't matter as far as single player performances because they don't take that game into account due to the fact the award is given before the biggest games of the year are played. If they did the presentations after, Zeke would have won in 2014 if they waited until everything was all said and done as he was clearly the best player.
  3. Yeah it's really anybody's to win that's why I could see them still giving it to Jackson unfortunately. The dude can play but he's played against HORRIBLE competition. He wouldn't put up those numbers in the B1G or SEC
  4. It would be one thing if Hurts was leading pretty much any #1 team outside of Alabama. The way the country views it is that Hurts is really good, but he's got some of the best talent in the country around him and possibly the best O-Line in college football along with the best defense to keep them in pretty much every game. I think Hurts gets invited to NY but I don't think he wins. Want to see impressive freshmen stats? Look at JT Barrett's freshmen year and he only played 11.5 games
  5. Just a little insight on how overrated Louisville was going into the Houston game. They are now 2-2 against teams above .500 this year. Those wins are Florida State and Wake Forest. Clemson's win against Louisville should be about as impactful as Ohio State beating Nebraska or Alabama beating Tennessee. I've been saying this all year. Clemson is getting too much respect for doing nothing. I've watched them play and they are not a top 4 team. If they somehow justify that overrated trash getting into the playoff simply because they beat a bunch of other trash to win their trash conference then the system is broken. That's all.
  6. Hurts is really good and I could definitely see him being top 5 this year, but as far as stats are concerned Barrett > Hurts.
  7. Kinda hoping they have a heavy dose of Samuel, Barrett and Weber on the ground. In conditions like that, a win is a win against anyone you play honestly.
  8. Weather for Saturdays game in East Lansing... Temperatures in the 30s with a chance of snow/rain showers throughout the afternoon and gusts of winds that could reach 40mph. Fucking great. Just like last year. If we win 24-13 and it's horrible weather and field conditions I hope that is taken into consideration. Not everyone gets to play in a perfect climate like the SEC and Pac 12.
  9. Okay, so Ohio State has played a bunch of garbage teams and blown them out. Let's hear who Alabama has blown out that is quality since Nebraska and Oklahoma don't qualify. USC - First game of the year, they have a new QB and their offense has been overhauled since (but good win, winning the way you're supposed to regardless). Ole Miss - TRASH and barely won Arkansas - Garbage, lost to Auburn 56-3 and LSU 38-10 :lolguy: Tennessee - Complete Joke not even worth explaining Texas A&M - :lolguy: LSU - Solid but Alabama only managed to rack up 10 points against them
  10. If conference championships are the end all be all, then I don't even know why we have human rankings. Might as well just keep the BCS rankings and use the top 4 conference champions, regardless of who is ahead. Because like Lauren said, beating an unranked Virginia Tech to win your conference championship is extremely impressive and should warrant you getting into the playoff even if the rest of your schedule is complete trash and you lost to an unranked team at home. P.S. I hope this is why they created a committee to prevent things like this from happening. If Ohio State gets left out in place of Washington or Clemson, I'll have no hope for the playoff committee moving forward to pick the actual 4 best teams anymore.
  11. I think the playoff committee set Ohio State up knowing what's ahead. I'm not saying that because Ohio State is #2, well partly because they are #2 but mainly because Michigan stayed at #3. They know there is no way they can drop OSU down from #2 to #5 if they finish their season with a win against #3 Michigan. I have a lot of confidence now that if OSU wins out, we're in. I honestly think Clemson is getting too much credit and Washington isn't getting enough credit. Clemson SHOULD have 2 losses. They should have lost to NC State if they had a remotely competent kicker. I mean it's not like Clemson blocked their FG and returned it for a TD to win, the dude just straight up shanked a 27 yard straight away game winning FG. Clemson's D is no good and they will get ROCKED by tOSU or Bama in the playoffs if they play. Washington scares me more because tOSU and even Bama don't really face teams that can really sling the ball around like they can, but then again, last time we played a team like that (Oregon) we put it to them.
  12. In fairness to Lauren, Bama did schedule USC for the first game of the year while we played Bowling Green
  13. Lauren says that knowing 1) It won't happen and 2) If it did happen they would still get in. So should Alabama's 2011 National Championship count? They didn't even win their division, let alone their conference... and at that time there were only 2 teams allowed to have a shot at playing for the NC.
  14. It literally will come down to "4 most deserving" or "best 4 teams." If it's the most deserving I can see OSU being left out based on a technicality which is fucking retarded in my opinion, but if it's the best 4 teams like it should be then OSU should be in. Do you not think the committee has it looming in the back of their mind that they picked the wrong B1G team last year? *Cough cough 38-0 snore fest cough cough* Not saying they had much of a choice but I think everyone knew that if they threw MSU and OSU on a neutral field last year in a dome, OSU would have took them to the wood shed. This year the committee will have an argument to put OSU in over a 2 loss Wisconsin or Penn State team from the B1G if it came down to just letting one B1G team in. I think the committee knows if they put Penn State or Wisconsin in at the 4 slot and they have to play Bama it's gonna be another annihilation and I just don't think they make the same mistake twice.
  15. But if the committee is just worried about whether you're a conference champion or not, then why is there a committee? Why not just take the top 4 conference champions from the AP poll and call it a day? If your argument is that those conference champions had to play an extra game, what about the fact that Clemson played South Carolina State (FCS) and Washington played Portland State (FCS) which are both essentially scrimmages and really shouldn't even count. So now that we have determined that at best Clemson, Washington and Ohio State will have all played 12 FBS teams let's compare their resume's... Clemson will have 2, potentially 3 ranked wins if VT can manage to sneak back into the tail end of the top 25. Not one of which being a top 10 team and their loss was against an unranked Pitt team AT HOME. Washington will have beaten 3 ranked teams one of which being a likely top 10 team in Colorado and their loss being against a top 15 USC team AT HOME. Ohio State will have 4 ranked wins, 3 of which being Top 10 teams and their loss being on the road to a top 10 Penn State team. Please, PLEASE explain to me HOW is LOGICALLY makes sense to put EITHER of those teams in the playoff over the Buckeyes?
  16. No. I think most of the people protesting were 18-25 year old college students who haven't had to work for anything and think Bernie Sanders is the answer to all of their upcoming "adult" problems. Sure, those people you mentioned are definitely there as well, but the majority are white college students that have no sense of reality.
  17. I guess we will see how the rankings come out tomorrow night. But if Ohio State is sitting at #2 with a game against a likely top 5 Michigan team still left, I just don't see how the committee could drop them from 2 to 5. If that happens, might as well take the committee out of it and just reward the 4 highest ranked conference champions every year because if that's literally the be all end, then there is literally no reason for a committee.
  18. Horrible and I mean HORRIBLE resume thus far even with a win against Oklahoma it will be bad. The Big 12 would have an argument with a conference championship game. The fact they only play 12 games, put their resume against Ohio State's and it's laughable. Conference Championships should only matter if you had to beat a good team in your conference championship game, cough cough Clemson...
  19. Well the alternative was Hildabeast who is known to lie, has many failed policies, under investigation for life long prison sentences, too much political experience (See corruption). I think you can pull negative shit from pretty much any candidate if you look hard enough. The problem with the two major party choices this time is, we didn't have to look very hard.
  20. So which 3 of those 6 are you putting in and why? Try your absolute best to look at the resume's and not be a troll even though that might be impossible for you.
  21. I need to look out there for my next project. Dealing with rust is a fucking hassle that I don't want.
  22. Here are the potential resume's for the 1 and 2 loss teams still in the hunt if they win the games they will likely be favored in... Ohio State (Let's say for hypothetical purposes they beat UM) Conference Champ: No Best Wins: #4 Michigan, @#6 Wisconsin, @#8 Oklahoma, #19 Nebraska Loss: @#9 Penn State Louisville Conference Champ: No Best Wins: #17 Florida State, @Houston Loss: @#5 Clemson Michigan (Let's say for hypothetical purposes they beat OSU) Conference Champ: No Best Wins: @#2 Ohio State, #6 Wisconsin, #12 Colorado Loss: @Iowa Clemson Conference Champ: Yes Best Wins: #4 Louisville, @#17 Florida State, @#18 Auburn Loss: Pittsburgh Wisconsin Conference Champ: Yes Best Wins: #9 Penn State, #16 LSU, #19 Nebraska Loss: #2 Ohio State, @#4 Michigan Washington Conference Champ: Yes Best Wins: @#11 Utah, #12 Colorado, @#20 Washington State Loss: #15 USC I don't think anyone below these teams has a shot unless crazy shit happens (which is possible) I just don't feel like going through anymore teams. The only other one I would consider is Penn State but let's just assume they lose to Wisconsin in the B1G CG. After looking at this, which 3 would you pick and why? Assuming Alabama is a guarantee at this point.
