They’re essentially tied for 1st in the B1G West. I think we just have to come to terms with the fact that we’re just not very good this year. Haskins has masked how bad we really are everywhere else. I think we all knew a loss or 3 were coming but as Ohio State fans we can talk ourselves into being really good even when we’re not. I’m no longer confident about beating Michigan State and I think scUM could go in on us raw this year.

Maybe it’s better if we lose. Either we will wake up and play to our potential or we will save ourself from extreme embarrassment and disappointment later

I think Haskins is almost a for sure thing to be gone. I agree he has had issues when facing pressure. He certainly is not a finished product but I'm sure what NFL scouts are seeing is a guy with every tool needed to be a successful NFL QB with a few areas in need of improvement that are very coachable. One is rushing throws when forced out of the pocket. Many times in the Penn State game, Haskins was forced out of the pocket and had plenty of time to set his feet and make a good throw but hurried and threw flat footed making a bad pass. That's a correctable issue that an NFL coach can fix rather quickly I think. We will see. I'd love to have Haskins back another year, but I think it's wishful thinking on our part.

He did look much better in 2017. Our run blocking was also really good across the board in 2017, this year it’s like they are stuck between run and pass blocking which makes them bad at both. Idk what’s going on but we need to fix it. Thankfully Haskins can get the ball out quick and we have receivers who can make plays from short out routes and slants. Dobbins and Weber have looked fairly pedestrian running the ball lately but I put that blame on the blocking more than their abilities. We have a lot of issues to fix on both sides of the ball. Just hope we get it straightened out before it bites us, which I really think it could this week. Purdue is very solid

Our offense is better than our defense lol today it looked bad but we have very skilled receivers and a Heisman contending QB. Dobbins and Weber have looked meh but I think it’s the O-Line more than anything. Our offense has definitely underperformed at times this year but I think we can narrow it down to bad O-Line play. For that reason, you might be right about not being championship caliber

Yeah that was crazy. KJ is my fav WR this year. Overall very meh half. Kinda sleep walking. Hopefully we pull away in the 2nd half but who knows.

Overall the entire defense is really bad. It’s just too bad because we have a championship caliber QB/offense and of course it’s coupled with the worst Buckeye defense I’ve seen probably since I started watching Ohio State football (mid 90s)

Pretty much. I saw it first hand. A lot of those guys go get a rusted out IROC outof the junkyard, weld some shit together with who knows what skill level and throw an iron block in it, spray the house down and run it.
