  1. I'll admit to time on ar15.com with some pauses to see exactly how those crazy springs fit on the trigger and hammer assemblies.
  2. Upper finally came in. Here it is...everything is done except I need a smaller roll pin punch to remove the aperture part from the rear iron sight to install the trijjicon aperture. I already installed the front. Haven't test fired it yet. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7199/6981933609_9d624ed77d.jpg Untitled by harmonda, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7192/6972795637_0bb02ce529.jpg Untitled by harmonda, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7204/6826687056_141923fcdf.jpg Untitled by harmonda, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7062/6835808316_4367997ee7.jpg Untitled by harmonda, on Flickr
  3. Isn't this the group that sponsored Hell on Wheels at NTR a few years back? I went with some friends. A drunk dude won the pin-up competition.
  4. Tiger pride is city wide, right? I played for Jackson. Of course that was loooong ago.
  5. What kind of job did you see yourself doing with a degree in sports mgmt? Are you looking to work for a pro team, represent athletes, or work in the fitness field? You may want to look at a bigger sports market. Did you play any sports for Malone? Do they have an affiliation with any pro sports outfits? For example, I know a guy going to school down in Tampa and his school is connected with the local pro teams there as well as the Indycar race organization.
  6. I use a local guy in Sunbury. Where are you located?
  7. just got my Galaxy Nexus an hour ago. How frequent are these issues?
  8. What are Ramblers going for these days?
  9. Naomi at Thrill Vulture did my sleave. Going back to her again once I'm ready for the other one.
  10. I'm an old guy, keep in mind....I thought Madonna looked better than she has in years. She was in her 'like a virgin' era when I was in College and she was uber hot IMHO. In more recent times she has been pale, too thin and muscled. Ce-lo looked like a bald drag queen but I think that is what he is going for. No other talent on the stage. That fiat ad was pretty hot.
  11. Totally agree on the fiberglas covers. I have an ARE on my superduty. It is really, really nice for secure storage of anything that fits. But, since I often haul firewood, mulch, furniture, etc. I am constantly removing it. That will be less of a problem on a ranger since it is so much smaller. But on my truck it is a major operation. If you go with a hard cover...think about putting a lifting mechanism in your garage like Wrangler owners do for their hard tops. That may make it better.
  12. Ya, it's definitely inside the buffer itself. Like a weight sliding inside. Sounds like this sort of thing is normal. But being new to this platform I initially found it odd.
  13. whatever moves or slides inside the buffer makes a rattling noise when I move the gun around. No upper at all yet. So I haven't shot anything through it.
  14. Installed a Magpul ACS on an ATI mil-spec tube/buffer last night. Took pics but forgot my camera today. I'll post up tonight. Surprised at how stout the stock feels even when extended. Also surprised by how noisy the buffer is. May switch to something else depending on how it shoots. I ordered a YHM 6.8 spc upper so....almost there.
  15. Well, that is amazingly helpful. I'm so glad we have such an experienced and mature member like you on here to wisely hand out sage advice like 'OP is an idiot'. What would we do without you?
  16. I know a bit about dream interpretation. Save any money you would spend on analysis for all the pretty dresses you will surely be buying in your future.
  17. Wow. money pits. keep looking dude.
  18. Just to follow-up...I installed the aluminum hub-centric rings. they were a nice snug fit. I've put about 2k miles on them since. No issues. I keep checking the bolts and no loosening or additional wear at all. We ran up to the U.P. and got 18" of snoww overnight and had to be at the Kennel before the plows went out and had zero problem. I'll keep monitoring them but I think I'm solid.
  19. Ok...I got as far as I can with the lower build without making a decision on the rest of the gun and ordering more parts. Here are the pics so far... mag relaase.... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7032/6715565249_7ebedb60ba.jpg mag release installed by harmonda, on Flickr bolt release... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7029/6715567435_34702b7291.jpg Bolt release installed by harmonda, on Flickr pivot pin... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7168/6715566737_1fc964487a.jpg forward pivot pin installed by harmonda, on Flickr trigger group... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7022/6715565993_7ca23f3c68.jpg trigger group installed by harmonda, on Flickr safety and grip... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7145/6715564591_12295f8d99.jpg safety selector and grip by harmonda, on Flickr trigger guard http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7164/6715563853_cc090c082a.jpg trigger guard installed by harmonda, on Flickr
  20. If you are expecting to drive in snow....blizzaks or scorpion ices or the equivalent will be your friend. Mine was pathetic in snow with the stockies even. Also...the steering rack to sub-frame connection is weak and can cause slop over time. If you ever move it for something like a header install....torque the hell out of those bolts. Wheel hop will be your enemy at the track...seek expert advice and get your wallet out. If your battery is still stock...and I doubt it....grab an ultima before it gets too cold. The factory batteries were Australia spec. and stranded a lot of owners in cold climates. At this point I would seriously consider hording GTO-specific and hard to get parts if I was going to DD one. I've heard getting a new windshield is a test of patience. The auto may be a benefit for DD since the shifter is a weak spot on manual cars. I've heard of tranny issues too. My boss had his tranny fail on the jersey parkway. I don't recall the specific problem. Overall...I found my goat to be a nice DD when I had it. Easier to live with than the Z06 I replaced it with in terms of lots of in-town driving. Waaay more clearance friendly.
  21. Wait....yep...still happy the squealers lost. Of course looking forward to the Broncos hitting the wall next.
