  1. Id post pics but I had surgery yesterday, just a vasectomy, so in a couple days I will. But yeah the front motor mount bolts to the core support and the front cross member. If that helps.
  2. I was thinking it would be easier to bolt in a whole new piece than weld a small part. If its bad there wouldnt it be better to try to replace the whole thing?
  3. I found a radiator core support on rock auto for 50.
  4. They came on the car when I got it. Im just too lazy to take them off. What do I need to look for to make sure its still safe?
  5. I have two yellow jegs stickers in the upper corners of the back window.
  6. Would love it, I had an 83 Bonneville fo my graduation present. But right now im going to limp the max till spring and see if im able to fix it. Any suggestions on what metal would be best? Could I go junkyard hunting and find a piece?
  7. Thanks guys. A guy at honda has a white version of my car he was talking about junking. I may buy it from him for parts if he still has it. Im really bummed it was a fun car and I was going to toy around with it. Im going to try to weld a piece in first, cant hurt it, and then go from there.
  8. What kind of welder would I need? My dad has an arc welder.
  9. Depends on how close to newark you are but mark at rising tide is awesome. He's done most of the wifes tattoos and both of mine. Also underground tattoo in the indian mound mall in heath has some pretty good people.
  10. My emergency break was stuck, so we put it on the rack at work and fixed it. while up there I looked under the engine to check the power steering belt, it squeaks when its cold. Well the bolts that hold the front engine mount to the frame, well used to be frame, are not holding anything. The frame is so rusted there is a 2 inch gap where the motor sags, and you can bounce th motor by gently pulling on the mount. Is it fixable or would it be too expensive? Kbb is about 6-900.
  11. awesome Ill have to keep that in mind here is my set up so far Box-399  most of my tools: wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers ect.. sockets impact socket set and guns, the blue one is the 25 dollar one for backup and the red is my new one
  12. Tool wise ive only bought one set of impact sockets that I wish I didnt. I bought it because it had a 17mm and it was half off. I've only used the 17mm socket twice for vw's, worst lug idea ever too. Other than that I bought a long sleeve matco shirt for winter so I wasnt wearing my good ones, and a pink beanie hat for bella..
  13. The matco guy had a semi truck axle nut socket , about as big as a 2 liter and the ratchet was about 4 1/2' tall.
  14. I like this job. I would definitely like to make this a career and moove up in what im able to do. Id love to work for Nissan.
  15. Ive got some matco tools but damn they're expensive. Just paid 399 for an impact gun. Its my 3rd one and ive learned to buy good the first time. My first one was 25 at tsc, then I got a used Cornwell for 175 off matco, I traded the Cornwell for the matco... well 150 off the matco.
  16. Thanks everyone. Im a hands on learner, and im learning alot here. It was cheaper than a school and they do ase training.
  17. Thanks for the info! Never thought about pawn shops. Everyone here said sears tools suck and they wont warranty them to us because they are not commercial tools, and if they do they give us refurbished or Chinese tools.
  18. I got a job working at sears auto center, I do oil changes, batteries, and tire changes. I was wondering if there were any cheaper places to get good quality tools. I've been to the harbor freight website and will most likely buy some wrenches there after the holidays. I bought a "mechanics starter set" from Zone before I left and the 15mm wrench is the longest at around 7"... I need the longer ones for leverage, and need some bigger sizes. Matco wants 3-400 for the same wrench set that harbor freight is charging 35 for. Also if anyone has any used tools they aren't using I'd like to buy some after the holidays. Thanks!
  19. How about the lambo suv. Its interesting, not really a fan of the front end though.
  20. most likely. not sure how well i like the denim though. and the challenger/camaro-ish headlights
  21. i was thinking the rb series keep it nissan.
  22. I personally think they look like old Datsun 510s. But really like the Nismo version.
  23. Me an my brother both raced these in scouts. My brother always had trucks and dad put the weight in the bed. I asked why and he said it took some weight off the front so it didnt dig in and it pushed the truck down the track. I used to be the line judge when I was in boy scouts for the ones in the mall, what I hated were the dads who didnt let their kids have any say. One guy wouldn't let the kid touch it.
  24. I work at sears and get 15% off tools, if anyone is looking at getting people tools as gifts. We would have to meet up and I would need the cash/card to hand them. You can come in with me but if you try to pay the wont let you. Already tried with my dad. Just trying to help out.
