my manager went and ordered his new one. He bought a canary yellow one. He also has a 67, yellow, and an 09 yellow as well.

we accidentally stopped out. I didn't know this was happening, and the wife wanted to go to Polaris and QSL. pulled in and had to drive around 4 times till someone left. The 4yo liked the 4 rotor FD. Im glad we left before that stuff happened.

that looks fun, the racing part that is, not to get off topic but how much and what do you need to do that?

1996 nssan maxima se. already asked the one in heath. they wanted close to 500 after all parts they wanted to replace. they wanted to replace the amps as well though.

it already had that in from his old stereo. he left it plugged in.

yes there is gas.. and ur a little late to the party. the stereo is installed and working. although my battery was drained the other day, not sure why. its hooked to a toggle since the wiring is messed up somewhere. I have the main power for the radio hooked to the toggle so it shuts it off and the memory wire hooked to the constant battery.

so the new stereo trying to pump 4ohm into the 1 ohm speaker puts a strain on it?

actually they are both blue.. one for antennae and one for the built in amps. he graduated high school, never finished college. but in his defense this car has the bose system which only puts 1ohm of power to the speakers then the amps bump it to 4ohms. We didn't know about the front amps, I thought it was just the visible rear ones on the speakers.

just wanted to say I got the stereo wired and working. thank you to those who posted. turned out I had two wires that needed hooked up that my friend said i didn't need.

there is an amp on the left rear. the other didn't come with the car. a guy that works at honda is junking his maxima this winter, so I'm going to raid it for parts. the amp is hooked up with the plug in.

I had a friend look it over, he went to school for aviation electronic stuff I guess, he said it was hooked properly. I used butt connectors, there was already the wiring kit in the car same as we sell.

the previous owner took the stereo. his girlfriend wanted it. ill have to run some wire to the speakers over the weekend.

yes the stereo is a dual from work. i got it free for winning a contest at work.

is there a way to hook something to a speaker to see if its working? Then maybe I could narrow down where the wiring issue is.

The stereo I got is brand new and the right rears paper is torn, so i know it need replaced. I was hoping it would be that easy.

I've tried all modes, even hooked my phone into the aux in spot and it still has no sound.

I installed an aftermarket stereo in the maxima, It originally had the Bose system in it. The previous owner already removed the bose head unit and had a working aftermarket stereo he took out when we traded. The stereo turns on, but the antennae wont go up nor do I have any sound at all. No buzzing or static or anything. Is there a was to test speakers to see if they work? Im hoping I don't have to run new speaker wire.

the disney trip is a completely different set of funds. Its money we wouldn't get if we didn't have kids, so were using it on the kids. I've been driving the crv when she doesn't need it, but she is getting ready to go back to school in a few weeks.
