I graduated in 05. I've always wanted to make it a father son project. The dash is gone big sun damage split going the width of it. It is the 6cyl. Its sunk about 6-12" into the ground.
My dad has a 76 AMX Hornet and its just been sitting in a field for a long time. Last time i remember it being driven is when i was in first grade. I have been bugging him to get it out and to work on it but he's stubborn. I was wondering if it would be a waste of time and effort or if its still salvageable. Ill get pics of it next time im there.
Yeah. Deffinately in over my head. The motor is just a stock replacement. The plan was to rebuild the original and maybe make it a little better. This ones just so I can still drive.
I don't know what a leakdown test is... sorry. Compression test definitely, we did turn the cam pulley and it turned fine. There is no crank pulley. The engine is a 91 so I have to steal parts from mine. The timing belt was replaced as well as tensioner and gasket set top to bottom before the guy bought it.
I just got a new motor for the honda.. and was wondering if anyone knew anyplace that tested motors. or if anyone knows a way to test a motor any info would be great. I've seen on youtube where they have engine dynos just wondering if theres anything like that in the newark/east columbus area. i would like to make sure its better tha what i have.
my mom had a bakery for a little while. she made pop flavored cupcakes... Mt. Dew, Orange crush, Dr. Pepper.. I think all you do is substitute the pop for the other liquid. my favorite was the Mt. Dew.. obviously
Yeah yeah.. good thing I bought one when I did though. Now the wifes car is down.. anyway. I was told it would be best to rebuild it because it may be the rings or valve seals. And since I'm gonna tear it down to fix either might as well be rebuilt.
so the civic has went through 3 1/2 qts. of oil since the last week of Feb. Ive been told to rebuild it is around 800 and i can get a zc for the same price.. just wondering what others opinions are.
