Video: Sleeper Holden with 454LSX Runs High 10′s
What do you think of when you see this pretty stock looking Holden VT Commodore? Factory LS1 running somewhere in the 13′s? Think again. See, the beauty of the LSX is that a simple swap can achieve instant performance and jaw-dropping results.
Luke, the owner of this VT Commodore, had a stock 454ci LSX crate engine imported from the good ol’ US of A over to Australia to turn his average looking Holden into a mean street machine capable of catapulting him into the 10-Second-Club. The car has come alive with it’s new engine transplant.
To date, the Holden has a best time of 10.60 at 130mph. Check out this video of Luke running at Heathcote Park Raceway in Victoria, Australia. You can see him roar past three different cars, where he shows them that his sleepy looking Commodore wakes up pretty quickly when staged at the line. Take a look at the 454 on the license plates – coincidence? I think not.
