Anyone know of someone that can test a turbo to see if the seals are bad? Car is burning through oil. Smoking when slowing down..
And rebuild it if the seals are bad?
I dont have much experience in turbos..
(Ill pm more info to whoever can help)
Damn that's a hell of a deal! I'll spread the word at my shop.
I gave around 5 for my classic 78 series with stainless top. I have a top and bottom I'll be selling soon too.
I really don't think it's the same STI your thinking of. Because it was a pretty close race until 110-120 then he passed me up. We both had passengers so that can't be why it was slow.
I raced the STI 2-3 times. And have a couple videos of it. My truck is no where near fast on the freeway. Everytime we raced from 20-120 it took until 110 for him to pass me.
I want to race the cobalt from a dig next time. And see how your 60' is
Or if you have a fuel pressure tester you can hook it up to see what its at now.. probably 30's if its weak and going out..
And when it wont start it will be at zero..
Not too many things go wrong on those cars.. so it sounds either electrical or fuel pump..
When it shuts off and wont start shoot some starting fluid in the intake and see if it fires..
And they can go out / come back to life.. they dont just shit out completely..
Columbus square in Westerville should be a good turn out. Will rain for a few. But should clear up around noon. Register is 12-2 awards at 4. I'll be there around 11 with some viper guys.
^^^^This... Unless you know the owner and they've serviced it on time, I would stay away from them..
I tell new drivers to always look at toyota or honda.. throw a timing belt and water pump on it and it will last 200k miles..
