Thanks man, glad it worked out! Microwave still for sale
-
Both were expensive as fuck. Firestone did all 4 of mine last week with new valve stems and tire disposal for $68. This was for mount and balance. I think if you just want them removed it'd be half that price.

Mornings at work like today make me want to say fuck it, take the pay cut and come do something like this....sigh...

Thanks folks, I appreciate the kind words. I'm 4 days into this monster and I'm deeply in love. Starting this beast up at 5:45 every morning to go to the gym puts a big shit eating grin on my face. Love it.

Warranty ends at 50k, not CPO (I actually don't think Germain does that). The car runs flawless (otherwise I wouldn't have bought it, ha), but I really am fully prepared for maintenance. I know these things take more work than a Honda Accord, and I'm ready for it.

I actually haven't daily'd a DCT, but I have driven a couple. I really don't notice a huge different from a daily driving perspective. My Accord was a 6 spd MT, so I've been DD'ing a manual for 5+ years. Thanks man, I'm pretty excited with what I got it for. I looked again today to make sure I got a good deal, and similar cars with similar miles are going for right around 30k.

I've also been in that house- slept there a few nights too. :gabe:

Thanks man, I've been on Audizine for a good portion of today and will check our ecstuning soon. There's a shit load of stuff made for these cars (obviously) so I am researching what's good and what to stay away from. Thanks- and yeah, that's right.

I went to the game yesterday and it was actually painful to watch. I am so happy our seniors are at the end of their career here- this class was truly terrible. I watched nearly every game this season, and if it weren't for the 12 exhibition style games we played this year, we'd be NIT bound at best (and of course, thanks to D'Angelo for even getting us to where we are at). I think Thad is done after this year- he has been having a lot of health problems.

Ha, I've got 3 pages up on my phone about that. Did you get an S4?
-
Don't want to quote all the stuff above, but for the down payment, that will be the sale of my 240 (how I justified that.

This is seriously a great career to get into. One of my best friends was just 'accepted' into the Edward Jones program and leaves next month for a 6 month training in St. Louis. FA's can make some serious fucking money. Good luck!

I'm really happy to see that this thread has turned into my own personal financial advice thread for me- looks like I need to drop my financial adviser since some of you have chosen Financial Advising as your profession of choice. If you all must know, yes, I am 25 years old. Yes, I fucked up on 2 cars prior to this an ultimately paid the price. I bought this car not as a status symbol, but to accomplish a few things. 1) Get out of my lease. As much as I enjoyed my Honda, it depreciated much quicker than most Honda's because of the trim and how many miles I was putting on it. Best to cut my losses now. 2) I love my 240, but it's still a 25 year old car that takes a lot of money to keep on the road. 3) Combine the two cars together- the Honda was a nice ride, and the 240 is much faster. This car accomplishes both, without having to do double maintenance (and yes, I know maintenance on an Audi is high). Ultimately, I'm comfortable with my decision, and so is my wife. That said, on to the details: I got the car for $26,300 and they gave me $17,200 for my trade. I owed $19700, so I paid the $2500 out of pocket to clear that. I also put another $2500 down. My new payment is $456, $133 more than what I pay now. My insurance went up $14 as well. 2011, 51k miles, 6spd, black on black. Very well cared for, has some scratches that I'd expect from a ~5 year old car, but overall, it's in great shape. These pics are all pre-detail (Friday night). It was detailed on Saturday before pickup. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y225/chopperman19/IMG_1196_zpsxwvcusxc.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y225/chopperman19/IMG_1199_zpsemvrp0ro.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y225/chopperman19/IMG_1197_zps88rs9itm.jpg

Bought it. Details tomorrow.

Couldn't you not afford some tickets from someone on here? :lolguy:

Fuck yeah, talk about a mushroom stamp.

Again, valid points. I bought a brand new Veloster when I was 22, like an idiot- worst financial decision of my life. I traded it in after 40 days and took a big hit- traded it on a 2013 Accent. Hated that car too (young and dumb, truthfully) and traded it in on my 2013 Accord. As far as financially, I am going to pay the difference on the Audi out of pocket to stop the snowball effect. Luckily, I'm in a successful enough place in my life to do that fairly easily, and still put extra money down. I also look at it like this: Drive a car I don't love, but don't hate, for $323 a month and have it continue to do nothing from an equity standpoint (at the end of the lease, I'm giving it back and getting nothing in return, AND, I'm projected to go about 12k over on my mileage which is a $1,200 plus depreciation hit.) Or, I can trade it in now, take the hit now and save my mileage penalty ($1200) and start to build some kind of equity with a new car at about an extra $100 a month (I'm thinking my payment will be $425-450 with 5k down). Honestly, I've made some pretty dumb ass financial decisions when it comes to cars. Luckily, I've some better decisions with houses that have put me in a position to have this 'problem'. Finally- since I'll have a fun DD, I'll sell my 240 (I think I'll get 5-6k for that) to make up for the down payment. So all in all, I will own a car for an extra $100 a month instead of pissing it away on a lease.

All valid questions. I am 3k negative because the payoff is $19,700 and my guess (based on KBB, Nada, etc.) is that I won't be offered any more than 17k for the car. I leased a 2013 Accord Sport- it was a 26k car and I was negative on my piece of shit 2012 Hyundai that I desperately wanted out of, so I bit the bullet and went from an "own" to a lease. Same payment, but I rolled over that negative equity. And FWIW, an Accord Sport doesn't lease out for $200. Neither does an Accord LX- cheapest I've seen is $219 for an LX, and I worked for a supplier with a Honda discount.
-
I think I am going to look at an S4 tonight- 52k miles, 27k. I'm negative 3k on my lease (out of pocket), I'll put 2k down, at 3.25% my payment would be $425 over 5 years. Right now I'm leading my Accord for $323- a clear choice to me. Sure, I piss away 5k, but welcome to life.
-
Fuck, you just ruined my life lol. (Kidding) If I were to look for one, I'd look for 3 things: White exterior, black interior, under 30k. I really do not think I could afford $40k, as much as I love that thing.

Wow, really did not realize it was already this weekend! Thanks for the reminder!

Just as a heads up, anyone in the country would be hard pressed to have an employer who covers lasik, as it is considered a cosmetic surgery and is rarely needed for actual medical coverage. That said, this has become so routine that I think just about any reputable place would be good...if I ever start to have eye problems, my ass is getting it ASAP. No way I'm fucking with contacts or glasses. Good luck!

Brand/age/price? I found one in Canal that's 4 years old and white (all other are white but I don't give a shit) for $60. No need to show it works, I am having it installed (my property manager owes me a free install) so really hoping it would work.

I can't stop thinking about that S4, but those E55's are wicked too. I just went to an hour meeting and didn't even hear what the dude said...I just kept hearing him say "Audi" and "S4"...sigh...my lease isn't up until May of 2016.
