  3. Funny, Clay -_- But seriously, I could not fathom for ONE SECOND that anything could be that bad that would want to show your children that this is the answer to life's problems.......The statistics for children who grow up in a home with no father are really gut wrenching.....I would die for my children, but I wouldn't kill myself....there is a big difference here......I am just really struggling with this whole situation, and the sad fact is that we will probably never know the whole story, unless there is some type of note or explanation that was left behind...even then it's all just really disturbing and 'hitting home' with me today.....sorry for the rants.....
  4. Really bummed to hear this.....He had most recently taken a big interest in Triathlon and Ironman, and was starting to make a name for himself in that sport. What confuses me most is his post 2 days ago on his Instagram page......something just doesn't add up here.... I used to be a little inspired by the hashtag he made up #beadadnotafad......now, I'm beginning to doubt the authenticity of that.......really upsets me as a dad..... This is his caption from the pic: davemirra: Tough 104 mile race but as you can see Madikenz @laurnicomirr were waiting for daddy and got me whatever I needed to recover. 3hours52mins. #beadadnotafad 1st place doesn't mean shit without family 1st #legendsoftheroad https://www.instagram.com/p/BBVLSgPvY1-/?taken-by=davemirra As a parent, this shit really unsettles me, and begs the questions why???! No child should bury their parent....especially at such a young age..... http://www.slowtwitch.com/articles/images/7/121147-largest_DaveMirraDay19.jpg ??????????????????????????

    Bowie

Really sad to hear about this. I think alot of people would be surprised to know what songs David Bowie sings.....I really fucking hate cancer too......
  6. I had a similar thought as this. Take the money, but stipulate that it will be for the 'upkeep' of the car. So if a major repair is needed then you will use that money to repair/upkeep the car. If it gets to the point where the money surpasses the cost to fix and upkeep, they know that you will look to sell at that time. Get everything out on the table now, so there are no surprises in the future. Eventually, this 'could' get passed on to another family member if it starts to nickel and dime you to death if they REALLY want it to stay in the family. Just get all the expectaions out in the open, so there is no family feud in the future.....sound like a cool brother and dad to have. P.S. me wants RS4
  7. I would agree for that session....just hard to make it stick sometimes (especially since the dog is a not a pup - could have some bad habits or could be great)....I still think consistently working with her will get it done quicker, but I don't think she would learn in one session/day.
  8. http://i.imgur.com/RUoZixL.gif Well done! Doesn't the garage just feel so much better and cleaner now....Ahhhhhhhh.... Funny our garages have just a few things in common: Detail cart: Floor color: ...and tire storage Garage looks awesome, nice work....Andy is never going to want to work is his shoebox garage again after getting some wrench time in here I have some other ideas I can show you for space saving, just need to snap some pics.
  9. I bought a 26 gallon Husky for $149 from Home Depot about 6 years ago (really good sale) and it has done well for me. I also have an electric impact for quick tire changes at the track or autocross or working on the car. I will typically only use the compressor when I have tough/heavy bolt that I need to break free with the air impact (450 ft lbs tq) or when I need to air up tires or my air tank . If you go with air, just make sure the CFM rating is up to snuff, but as stated, without 220, you will have to wait for ALOT of cycles to do any type of painting with something on 110. Same goes with a grinding wheel, I typically can get a minute or so out of the that before I have to wait for pressure. I think electric has come a LONG way in the last couple of years and the market has started to flood with more tools, so price is starting to come down. Not to mention, if you look for a 2 stage, you are going to be in the $1000+ range....and you can get some pretty nice electric bits for that without having all the annoying noise. If I were starting from scratch right now, I would start an electric collection and figure out the painting some other way.....is painting something you do a lot of?
  10. Just do some research on line and do the training yourself. As stated, a school with teach YOU how to train the dog. Few tips: POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT! As SOON as the dog does something you want it to do you PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE and reinforce with a small treat. It may be a little harder since the dog is full grown now, but as soon as the dog does something you are wanting it to do, you reinforce. On the flipside, as soon as they do something wrong a STERN 'NO' is in order. The training will take some time and patience and will be hard for both of you. Just keep working at it, and habits will begin to form. It will be a little bit harder to teach to heel, but just start taking small walks and teach her to heel.....find some treats that you can give her many of without upsetting her stomach (cheerios/small cereal), but positive reinforcement is KEY because dogs will only associate the treat with what they JUST did....dogs forget very quickly. Good luck!
  11. I have been a Costco member for years, therefore I have never set foot in a Sam's Club...which may be the case for others on here, so they can't give you an accurate opinion because they only shop at one. I love Costco and have bought many 'higher priced' items there at, typically, a better price than most other places. Also, I bought a Wenger Swiss Military watch there for almost $200 and it broke after about 1 year of use (would randomly stop, even after chaning the battery multiple times) and they took it back with no questions asked for full price. Great service after the sale, IMO....customer for life after that interaction.

  16. Have an 03 525i with 143k on the clock. Few small fixes, but nothing major so far. M54 motor is pretty bulletproof, see if you can find a car with that motor.
