Few updates on the garage:
Spent most of the weekend getting the walls painted and a few cabinets hung. Will try and get some better pictures this week once I have everything more put together.....it's slowly coming together and I'm pretty happy with it.

I would consider myself a Motorsports Enthusiast and the reputation that preceded this site before I joined not too long ago was that of the 'elitest d-bags who just wanted to be keyboard warriors and insult you all day' ...so I tread lightly when I first joined and then through my involvement as the Solo Chair with SCCA I was able to promote events and meet some guys from the site.
Since then, I have become more comfortable posting, but I still stay FAR away from the Kitchen. I mainly post in the LOL thread, or like to start threads that ARE motorsports related....
One thing I do like about this site is the vast diversification of people with SO many different interests...so when I have a completely random question, this is where I come to post it because the chances are typically high that someone can offer information on the subject. I think having a dedicated section for that wouldn't be a bad idea 'lettuce discuss - LMS - etc'
Overall, I enjoy the site and I have a good idea of people to 'stay away from' because they will always be the 'internet tough-guy' on here, but I am a fan of some of the recent changes. I moderate a BMW forum and the vibe on there is MUCH different from this one.
That's all from me, hope that helps.

Numbers? How did it go?
387 ft lbs/444 bhp - that was on a rough tune - spent 4 hours over at IPS and was supposed to go over again for another session last night, but not sure if they went or not.
Here's a short clip at idle:

Checking to see if anyone has some Detonation headphones (det-cans) that I could borrow for a couple of days.
We are tuning a BMW Z3 Coupe with Daytona Prototype V8 Motor in it at IPS on Tuesday Afternoon/Wednesday morning with a Cosworth ECU and the technician is in from the UK to do the tuning.
I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has any it would be a huge help!
Thanks!
And we will compensate! $$

That's beautiful! Where'd you rent the buffer from? I want to this to my garage.
Home Depot on Cleveland

Diamond grind, epoxy, chips, and clear overtop. Friend just had it done and looks like yours just more chips....
Sounds like a good deal....Just make sure it's a good product. I did not do an 'over the counter' product because those are highly water based, where mine is a 72% solid and has a lifetime guarantee.
maybe dumb question - do the chips help with grip? is that the purpose or is it for color/pattern/dirt hiding? Does the clear coat cover most of the chips? dont know about this stuff so pardon the questionThe chips are decorative, and help hid imperfections in the floor. The 'soft skid' is what helps with grip. The clear covers ALL of the chips....think of it like a polyurethane coating on a table at a bar when they put coasters or pictures in the table, it basically sandwiches/seals them in there.
Great job Kale. I'm getting ready to do rust bullet on my new 2-car hopefully before the weather turns. Thanks, Chris....it completely changes the look of the garage, I can't wait to get everything into its home in there.

Was quoted $2450 from someone. So I should do that then huh?
Depends on the product and the work they're going to do

Drink beer and get fat usually. Hopefully this year will be the opposite. Going full on beast mode for next year.
This ^^ which isn't really a change from the summer...but hopefully get closer to 1125 combined

$6/sq ft so $3000 for an average 2 car and $4500 for a 3 car. Ouch.
Yup, I spent $1500 on the kit from Legacy and another $150 for crack sealant and misc items. Save quite a bit doing it yourself.
-
I just want to pay someone to do this for me in a 3 car garage.
Wouldn't we all
You're probably looking at $1000-$1500 to pay someone. A decent price would be around $6 a square foot for everything done.

Thanks to Scotty for all his quick responses and support through the process. My Nohr-S got delivered on Friday...the same day all the new Iphones 6S's were getting delivered, so I didn't get my delivery until 8:30 on Friday night....let's just say I was biting my fingernails a little....but all worked out.
HUGE thanks to Kyle for driving from Cleveland for the weekend to help me knock this out!
Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.

Second coat (Nohr-S with pigment) with flakes (since the Nohr-S dries so quickly, we basically went square by square and after each coat we would flake.

Hello all,
After some conversations with friends and Scotty (from Legacy Industrial), I decided to go with the Legacy Industrial Nohr-S system for my 723 sq ft. garage.
Here's the background on the garage and decision making process:
-House was built in August of 2014
-No sealer or topcoat was applied on the floor before moving in
-Floor has been used and parked on for the past year with no top coat
-I wanted a system that was user friendly and had a quick cure time
Here are some before pictures of me cleaning out the garage (I did this after work over the time-span of about a week). I basically moved a bunch of stuff into my house in certain room, some stuff I stored in my neighbors garage, and some was put out side under my 10x10 pop up.

Once I had the garage cleared out, I rented a floor buffer with a diamabrush attachment and it took me about 8 hours to do the floor to my satisfaction. I knew that prep was VITAL for a good bond, so I made 4-7 passes in some spots with the buffer.

Needed everything off the floor, so I went ahead and had a neighbor help me build a tire rack for my race tires

I had a friend come in town for the weekend who had done a 2 part epoxy floor before and he was a HUGE help to the operation. Friday night we filled in the rest of cracks with sealant and basically did a final prep of the floor to get up bright and early on Saturday to start.

I have these and they work just fine. Wish they were just a tick louder, but they turn on, connect, and play. Battery life isn't bad either and will tell you when it has a low battery.
