ha, fair enough. I know a local guy that went to the bridgestones on an S2000 and went from severly mid pack to top 5 in local non SCCA events. They seem to be "the" tire this year.
Yup, Kyle Herbst just won STX at the National Pro Solo in Wilmington last weekend and won the Super Challenge....basically won the 'whole thing' for the weekend. He is on the Stones.

*cough*I'm a bridgestone wholesaler*cough*
You should be pushing those RE71R's to any autocrosser/wants grip from their car that walks through your door. Great tire so far.

You think the Bridgestone will cope with June July august heat?
And rival s is behind rs3v2 huh?
Yes to Stones....and please refer back to 'Appendix A'

Need 200TW for autocross - Plenty of good options:
In personal ranking order:
1) Bridgestone RE71R
2) Hankook RS3 -V2
3) BFG Rival S
4) Dunlop Direzza Z2 Star Spec
Appendix A: Bridgestone is #1 for sure, but will wear a little faster.... 2,3, and 4 will be interchangeable based on other people's opinions, but I think you will be much happier with any of those.

Now just make sure you get the right tires to go with those if you're using them for autocross

Subscribed.
Always had a soft spot for this generation Subies. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Yea, we've been talking with OSU for some time now about this. It will be good to get back to Ackerman. If you have not done the Governor's Cup, it's really cool to compete and watch. All the hot shoes from the area come out for that one.

I spoke with Sean (Crossle) last night and he was very helpful. Since my 1995 3-series is pre-VANOS and pre-OBDII, it should be simpler to work on. I'm going to repair the HG myself and farm out the head work (of course).
Does anyone know Bob Proffit at Performance Research? It was recommended that I go there for the headwork. http://priracingengines.com/
Clay, M&M did the head work on my STX Racecar, I thought they did a good job. I took the head to them still assembled with new parts. They cleaned it, hot tanked it for cracks, and machined the face within factory spec for me, and did all the seats as well. It was only a couple hundred bucks extra for them to do the valve work, which seemed like a great deal to me. They also checked valves for trueness when they were out and were going to tell me if I needed to get any new valves. My car has survived many many autocross runs, including two 13 hour drives out to Lincoln, Nebraska and back for Nationals and all over the state of Ohio for events without 'skipping a beat.'
If you plan to keep this car for a while, I would pull the head (including taking the cams off) and have the head rebuilt. E36's are known to have valve spring retainers and keepers fail over time, but you should be able to re-use everything else.
Go back through my thread here as this is exactly what I did last year --> http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116347
Hit me up with questions, and I'll be happy to help.

You'll have to check that baby for warpage.....because based on this thread, I will almost guarantee you that it needs tanked and decked. Might as well do valve spring retainers and keepers while you're at it.

Interesting sequence. Didn't you have to bleed out a bunch of fluid after that point?
Glad you got it figured out

I have the older version of this, and has worked great for many years. I like the feature that is folds forward so you can open the tailgate, I've even done it with the bikes on the rack during a trip.

The Saris one where you put the wheels in is a very good choice too, a few of my friends have that one and it's very easy to use.

Ok, I guess I should have made a phone call first.....false alarm....
The watermark is ONLY for online viewing, as she uses this for all clients including the ones that don't pay for digital images so they can't screen shot like I did
Thanks for responses, case closed

did you pay for digital copies?
The online galleries are usually so that you can order digital or print copies, hence why they carry large watermarks that are not easily removed so that you can't just right click the online gallery and save the pic.
If the digital or print copies you paid for have the watermark then you absolutely should go back to the photographer and have those removed. The gallery is not often inculded in the digital copies you purchase because it is treated like an order form and you probably didn't pay the photographer for online hosting.
In the end it never hurts to ask but for the gallery, since it serves as a store, they may say no. for any digital copies you paid they should not have any watermarks or logos. At the end of the day you are the customer and if you approach it from the standpoint that the relatives may buy extra pics if they can see the kid clearer then....who knows. I don't think they should be automatically offended if you are nice about it.
Yes, we paid for the 'premium' package that includes all digital rights for the pictures to do as we please.
EDIT: I didn't think that these may just be for the online gallery like you said. With her site you cannot 'right click' to save as....I did a Ctrl+Prt Scr and opened it in photoshop to get these images.
Maybe I just need to call and find out what the story is......
Thank you UPS man
