  1. Yup, he's GS....I moved you. http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.status/uidEvent/3A8F5BFC-0D54-6AC8-E2B3E5959BF10F65
  2. If your treadwear is not = or >140, then you need to run GS. RTF is for 140 treadwear or higher. I will switch you to GS with the same number you had. Sound good? What tires are you running?

    RIP MCA

Absolutely floored by this. B-boys were just inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame too.....sad day....
  4. Greg, you chose the RTF class. I can change you to GS if you like or your can run RTF (Road Tire Front)....totally up to you. You will still have a GS PAX no matter what class you run. Somehow you chose that modifier when signing up.
  5. Not necessarily.......Have faith young skywalker. As along as the first heat goes smoothly, we could get a few more in...we'll see...... EDIT: Yeah, what Craig said ^^
  6. Looks like we ended up with 103 pre-registered. SMS is 20 deep! Should make for a great day of trash talki.......err....I mean racing Some hot shoes coming to this one from out of region too. 11. Chris has been 'spot on' with his posts. We are a Hawk pad dealer so I am familiar with the Hawk line. I ran the HPS all last season in autocross, and this year stepped up to the HP+. The HPS does not have the initial torque and bite as the HPS. The HPS is purely a street pad, and is 'ok' for autocross when you compare it to the HP+. If you are going to autocross, I would recommend the HP+. I would NOT use the HP+ for Mid-Ohio, but only for a Nelson Ledges or a Putnam. It is always a give and take with brake pads. If you want stopping power, you will have more dust. If you want a 'casual' street pad, you will get less dusting. You just need to determine what is more important - less dust and less torque/bit or more dust and more torque bite. BTW, if you get the HP+ you WILL sounds like a school bus/truck when coming to a stop with cold pads and you will get a lot of stares from people thinking 'WTF is wrong with his brakes' :lolguy:
  12. This is Columbusracing son! Why drive 2 hours to run, when there is one right here in Columbus :dumb: http://www.ovr-scca.org/_autocross/schedules.asp Come to the dark side Kyle, and run here :fa:
  13. PM incoming for the Hero II Motorsports Kit
  14. Glad some of you guys were able to make it out yesterday. Jones, good to finally meet you and I hope you come back for some more. I would recommend the drivers school on the 20th if you want one on one instruction for the day. Hopefully the next event is dry, and you can really see what that RS can do.... Would love to hear any feedback on what we can be doing different, we are always trying to make the events better...thanks! 55.1
  15. I heard it when I was on Polaris Parkway....sounded like a low-flying jet as well. I'm guessing fighter jets of some sort
  16. I'm running the show...yeah i'll be there :dumb:

  18. Next to come out are the drivetrain and heat shield: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6275.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6271.jpg Next, we are ready to crack open the bell housing. Luckily all of these bolts came out ok. We loosened the motor mounts so the tranny could tip back for access to the top bolt on the bell housing and the starter bolts. Tranny off: (pressure plate and clutch disc are still in good shape if anyone is interested in it) http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6279.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6276.jpg Finally we take off the pressure plate, clutch disc (along with ALOT of clutch dust), and the 22.6 lb flywheel!: Rich photobombing me http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6289.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6283.jpg One dirty ass pilot bearing: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6280.jpg New Rear Main Seal, Gasket, and pilot bearing: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6287.jpg New JB Racing Lightweight Flywheel: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6312.jpg New M5 Sprung Clutch Disc and Race Engineering Pressure Plate: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6315.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6317.jpg
  19. Sooooooo, I've been planning and researching and researching and researching this project for quite some time now. Multiple threads on multiple forums looking for advice and I finally made my purchases and installed my new parts. HUGE thanks to Gordon (hotdoggin) and Richard (das borgen) for their help and lulz over the two day install. Also a huge thanks to my employer, TC Kline, for letting me use the lift and tools in the shop :bigthumb: Parts: Sachs Race Engineering Heavy Duty Pressure Plate Sachs M5 sprung clutch disc JB Racing Lightweight Flywheel (10.5 lbs) Bear Motorsports SSK and bushing 'refresh' kit AKG DSSR Tranny mounts (OEM) Rear Main Seal and gasket Shift Selector Rod Seal Pilot Bearing Fork Spring clip Rogue Engineering Stainless Clutch Pivot Pin Release bearing The install took approximately 15 hrs over a two day period. We took our time and did not rush ourselves. We also ran into some stubborn nuts on the exhaust manifold studs (all but one were replaced). Pics of parts: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6260.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6255.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6247.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6246.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6263.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6262.jpg http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6254.jpg The tools: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae245/bmwohio/M3%20Clutch%20Flywheel%20SSK%20Install/IMG_6290.jpg Not even 10 minutes into the job and we shear off two exhaust manifold bolts to start (we had soaked them in PB blaster). We continued to shear off bolts, had to grind and drill out two of them we're able to salvage one bolt/stud in the end.
