  1. Finally picked up a new Rolex Submariner for daily wear. Love the elegant simplicity. Goes with anything from a henley to a dinner jacket.

Going to put a whitegold/black face Chronograph Daytona on order later this year to celebrate a special occasion. Looking seriously at some Zenith's as well.

  2. I'll get a bunch of pictures up as things come together finally but...

Initial tune is in. Some road testing this weekend/next week and then week after next we'll finish install of some of the remaining systems (fire suppression, etc.)

Here's where we ended the week. On the 3.75 pulley (the second largest KB makes) and a conservative tune on E-85 we're making ~990/888. We'll do the 'race tune/pulley' at the end of the month.

Definitely happy with the results so far. This is right in line with where we predicted we'd be performance wise at this point. Another stellar job by PPC. :fuckyeah:

  3. No stage 3, no care. Blower or nothing :)

On the 4.6L 3V I'd have to agree. Minimal investment required to get to 430+ at the wheels which puts the fun in a whole 'nother bracket.

On the 5.0L, I think there's still something to be said for heating up the N/A versions as an alternative to boosting.

  4. What is the largest dose of LSD someone has ever taken?

    Answer:

The largest voluntary dose of LSD ever taken was 750,000ug (7,500 street doses) in 1994. The individual suffered from residual effects for some time, though evidence of permanent damage was insufficient.

The largest accidental overdose was a user who had mistakenly injected 320,000ug of LSD under the false conception that it was methamphetamine.

  5. So don't do that? Y'all keep arguing that hog attacks are hypothetical possible, which I don't deny, but I'm arguing that it's not a real problem that normal people have to worry about. Hunters getting in over their heads, sure. Farmers defending their property, yeah. I can't find any stories of pig attacks that don't involved one of those two categories. Dude was way more likely to get struck by lightning than attacked by a pig.

  6. As many times as this has been tried and failed I would think a different approach is in order.

Either: Go to a referendum if the public support is there

Or: Lobby for a further modification in the law which reduces the fine to like $10. Take the profit! motive out of it. Need to get that attached to some bill no one wants to kill - I don't think even a fine reduction would pass on its own :(

  7. Let me suggest an alternate approach where all of this could have been stopped before it started:

    "911. What's your emergency?"

"I see a man walking down the road with a kid and he's carrying a rifle."

"Yes, ma'am. Is he doing anything peculiar?"

"Well, he's just walking by but did you hear me? He has a GUN!"

"Ma'am, that's perfectly legal here in the State of Texas. Please relax and have a nice day <click>."
