  3. i still stick by what i said, it would be cool to own a car owned by neil armstrong, but its not like its one of a kind (as far as corvettes he has owned) according to the guys ad. i just think the reserve is set a little high. i would think that would be a 70 or 80 thousand dollar car in my book. however the car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
  4. i say test drive both cars and see which you find to be more pleasurable to drive. without driving though, i would go with the z myself, but i am a chevy guy too.
  5. try bump starting the car, if it starts its probably not the vats, but if it doesnt start, then it probably is the vats. with the security light flashing, it is a good possibility it could be the vats, i know on my wifes pontiac that you have to leave the key in the on position for about ten minutes (until the security light stops flashing) then the car will start. i dont know if the f-bodies were the same way or not (wifes car is a 2001). basically the computer has to re-learn the key in the pontiac every now and then. i dont know why it does it and im sure its not supposed to, but now and then you have to in her car.
  6. it kinda looks fake, you can see white near the inside corners of her eyes. that and she looks shiny except on the neck. i could be wrong as i know when your tanning your supposed to be wearing some sort of goggles or something, but it just kinda looks like makeup.
  7. thats a cool history on the car, but its unfortunate the guy who bought it couldnt take proper care of it. with the fender flares, the big spider crack in the front passenger corner, and the milage being uncertifiable. there could be well over 200k on that car and nobody would know the difference. cool car, but im not sure the reserve should be set over 120k, being as the astronauts were given a new corvette to drive each year, it wouldnt make the car so rare then.

  9. theyre good for winter driving as well, where when your stuck you can manipulate the clutch or rock the car without burning out the tranny
  10. i find it hard to say that the car is "original" when the door is a different color
  11. sunblock works too, people at work used to use it all the time, but now we have so much ppe that you are literally covered from head to toe now.

  16. what about linelock? you could put it on the front brakes and it would serve two purposes, it would work as an e-brake, and you could do sick burn outs with it lmao. seriously what it is made for though is for some sort of e-brake i believe (if not for holding a hill or something).

  20. question to anyone who can answer it, say you do have a twin turbo setup with an x-pipe, if one turbo fails does that then mean that all the cylinders on that bank dont produce enough pressure to keep the exhaust from the other side from coming over and producing a sonic boom? honestly though, does a turbo generate more exhaust pressure after the turbo than a n/a setup? if anything i would think it would cause a drop compaired to n/a because of the restriction in the exhaust. obviously if you had an x-pipe and one side wasnt creating as much pressure as the other side, unless the exhaust behind said x-pipe was way restrictive (read glue stick sized) then there is no reason the exhaust is going to make a 130*-140* turn back toward the engine against exhaust pressure from the other bank.
  21. what would be the best ford to pull an alternator off of to make a welder. i would like a 130 amp and i know the mustangs and trucks with mod motors have them. dont know if they came factory though.
