i had no idea you could do that with an alternator, interesting though, what do you use for a torch, just a standard tig torch? i might be up to try it as i could use a cheapo welder around my house.

click guy made a tig welder with an alternator and a pool pump motor, and something to mount a pully to the pump motor. also used a battery charger to start it and a headlight dimmer switch to control it. not sure how the battery charger has enough juice to keep it going unless he has the alt. wired to the motor as well somehow.

if no garage is available, i used to back the car up against something so you can't see the back plate (in my driveway though). at that point they can see the front plate and usually there is no bitching. some people/townships/citys/etc may get nosey and try to take a look if it hasn't moved in a while, but most places won't.

I wouldn't say the mods could randomly ban someone, if the admins disaprove of what a mod has done, then what the mod has done likely becomes undone at that point and the mod de-moted. so esentially the op calling the mods bitches = calling the admins bitches in a way, the admins let it happen (whatever drove you to create this thread). just an observation, carry on.

what about ebc pads, i ran them on a jag i had a few years ago (the green ones) and they didnt produce much dust at all, i dont know about how they are at the track, but for low dust on the street they were great for me.

just my opinion, i believe it has been stated once but i just want to re-iterate... if you decide to date a woman with a kid, the thing most people fight about the most is the dicipline of the child. we all know children need corrected now and then, but if the mother isnt cool with you diciplining her child, then you will fight. especially if she disagrees with you in front of the kid, then that opens all kinds of doors for them to be manipulative (not that all kids would do that, but alot would). there are good things to being with a woman with kids too, the possible bond you could form with the kid as well, but dont let that attachment get in the way of an unhealthy relationship either. cliffs: there are many pros and cons to it, best thing to do is sit down and have a serious talk with the woman if you plan to get serious with her.

maybe she wants to sunbathe nude without you watching, that or maybe she just has a crush on the guy putting up the fence and wanted to watch him work

thanks for the correction, i wasnt sure they had one for sure, just sounded like those symptoms. sounds like it could be a weak coil too though if not timing belt being off.

this, anytime a car with a rotary is cheap, chances are the car has been hoed out and not maintained (rotarys are maintenance whores too). looks like a nice car, but it was definately a cheap paint job with the overspray, wonder how the rest of the car was taken care of. just a thought. looks like a good canidate for a swap though. btw did anyone notice that he said it had smoked headlights and taillights, but it looked like the turn signals were the ones that are smoked (hard to say about the headlights when they arent up though).

realistically, i would just yell out the window and they would just run away, most thieves get scared off when they are noticed, so it doesn't matter what you do, if you make your presence known, then they are gone, and if you called the cops, by the time they would get there (in most cases) the thieves would be long gone with whatever they wanted (if you didn't make yourself noticeable while calling them).

your right, the 401 is referring to engine size, super t-10 would be a transmission and the 4.56 gears would be the ring and pinion in the rear axle, doesnt look too far gone from the pics, but the underside would tell the full story once you get it up off the ground. should be a really cool project though if you can get it going

just a thought, maybe you could borrow a stock ecu and see if it runs (and how well seeing as to how its modded) and if that doesnt work, then you could just go after market and not have paid for something you dont need.

tell em theres a bunch of rich guys inside and a pole to dance on, that would get some in, depends on your opinion of a quality of hotness too though lol
