  1. Last I heard Mark was working at a Mitsubishi dealership and he isn't writing up oil changes.
  2. I don't understand how water gets in the intercooler and the intercooler being the problem. Are you saying the theory is that the water is getting into the engine to cause the misfire? The only way I could see the water getting in is through the intake.
  3. Rx7's always winning the jackstand race... http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w392/uummm1/20140719_171426_zpscjasdgs0.jpg http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w392/uummm1/20140719_171527_zpsi8hrhhv2.jpg
  4. No lift shift? Hell you prolly wouldn't lift anyhow...
  5. So the insurance company knows more than a doctor... got it. I have heard of an insurance company pushing to use genaric meds, but never a different medicine all together.
  6. Well, I talked to my buddy and he wasn't comfortable with the idea of someone using his shop (he works alot so he wouldn't be able to be there for most of the time you would need it), however if you want, my brother works off the lift doing side jobs so if you want someone to replace it for you I can get you his contact info. If not I understand (I'm not really comfortable with others working on my car and I understand that others feel the same way).
  7. I have a buddy I can ask, though it is not in the best part of town the car would be in a locked and gated shop. If nobody else has one he can use I will ask my buddy what he would charge for use of the lift.
  8. Are the pay rates just a starting rate (like if you do well then every few months you might get a raise until you top out)?
  9. I would say no, I see a dizzy and spark plug wires in the pic. If I were you op, I would wait on the front end sheetmetal until you have the turbo's mounted so you can get a good idea of what you need to build a front end. Also, leave the bed how it is and leave the front wheels open imo. And if you decide to go no hood or fenders, throw an old air cleaner and accessories on there to add to the patina'd look (again this is all opinion).
  10. Oh. I had no idea that was the direction you were thinking. You said beater and I was thinking budget. As for the factory aluminum heads, you could just search cl for "L98" heads, there are iron heads and for a few years they made aluminum heads.
  11. If everything you have (minus the cars) could fit in a 53 foot trailer (or less, smaller truck would likely be cheaper) you could send it all on a dedicated shipment. You would have to beat the truck out there (or have a friend there to unload if you know anyone out there already) you could more than likely get that done for a 3rd or less than what you were quoted I bet (depending on the company and if you need a liftgate truck or not). If you go this route, shop around. I could probably provide some names of companies we use at work, but we work from docks so I do not know who would offer liftgate service ob a dedicated shipment.
  12. Are you referring to the AAP off of Pacemont and High? If so I have a few things I need to pick up.
  13. Fwiw, I don't believe they made any factory aluminum 64cc heads, they did make them with 58cc chambers for a couple years on Corvettes (86-88 I believe, L98 motor).
  14. This is awesome. America needs to get back to doing stuff like this.
  15. Does this top end kit come with heads (I couldn't view the link)? If not I would look for a set of heads to bump the compression a little (say 64 cc heads if your current ones are 76 cc). Also a bigger cam would wake it up a little more.
  16. Why are you not aloud to change the radio station? Just curious.
  17. I thought some of the early 05's had ls1's
  18. If ls2 I would say that's an okay price, but you could get a better deal through a private party.
  19. You don't fix what ain't broke. Not the kind of car I would mod (to be faster) myself.
  20. It looks like the pipes I had on my 76 Kawasaki KZ750, not sure if it was stock or not.

Did you clean it good? We don't want it smelling up the place...
  22. Did you have the wheel turned all the way to the lock? I'm thinking it could be a cv axle binding.
  23. Rockauto FTW. Never had a problem with them getting the parts in a timely fashion and they are the cheapest place I can find parts (for the most part).
