  1. Just a general question, do you have to have a specific type of helmet or can you use an old (dot approved) motorcycle helmet?
  2. My wife does exactly this. She wants one from every state, but if there is any drinking by anyone at the house (if anyone is taking shots) they have to use the plastic shot glasses lmao. As far as hot wheels, anytime I see one I like, my son gets a new one lol. I know somewhere he has an fc rx7 that looks like the one I have in the garage lol.
  3. :lolguy: I hope this is replacing the Maxima.
  4. Looks pretty clean, enjoy it. I know people hate on these cars, but my brother just picked one up just like this (not quite as clean of an example) and it drives like a go kart. I think we might try out autocrossing some time this year.
  5. I happened to come across a link for redline goods on another forum so I checked them out. Since then I have seen quite a few people post about the quality on other forums so I decided to give them a try, as it turns out the quality is good (even though it did take some time to send them the wheel and get everything back). Also, I stitched mine on myself, it's not terribly hard to do, just have to take your time (mine would have come out better if I had taken a little more time to do it).
  6. What year is the truck? I may know someone interested in some side work depending on the year.
  7. Nice car, but what's up with the giraffe?
  8. As long as you have something to put in your car for now and don't mind sending yours overseas you could try http://www.redlinegoods.com. Here is the thread about my steering wheel: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118028
  9. I have a wife problem, that's why my car is not finished yet... :dumb: Just kidding, kids are expensive. anyways sounds like a fun ride at 20psi, any idea what kind of numbers its putting down at the moment?
  10. All these memes I see about other car companies being better than GM because GM recalled 1.4 million cars (more now I'm sure), but I wonder how many cars these "better" car companies should have recalled.
  11. If you didn't know, they did sell turbo versions of the body style van that is being sold here (even available with a manual trans). I agree that they should do another run though.
  12. My 2 seater is on jack stands, however, my brother has one we may cruise in from time to time.
  13. I had a 95 gmc full size with the 4.3, 13 mpg FTL. Though I know gas mileage has improved over the years, if its not better than the v8 and does everything else the same or worse, then why bother.
  14. I believe I have heard of an Isuzu diesel swap in these.
  15. If you ask someone who builds a car like this why they did it, 9 out of 10 times the answer will be "Because I could" or "It's what I wanted". That being said, I think it is a pretty cool car. Doc, does this give you any ideas? :gabe:
  16. It seems (at least from my perspective) like they do layoff's for salary based jobs based on the buddy system. There are some real worthless people here and some good workers that are no longer here. It's all about your golf game...
  17. I will say it's not the worst place I have worked, but I have absolutely no respect for David Farr (CEO) though I understand what he is about. From what I understand it was a much better place to work when Ralph Liebert was alive and running the show. For what it is worth I am hourly, maybe salary folks are treated better, idk.
  18. "Them or they" as in the exact ones that are on welfare yet drive a "donk". I realize that not everyone that drives one is a welfare recipient, yet everyone that I have met that has one or wants one usually is either on welfare or just plain cannot afford it. So maybe I should have worded it more specifically instead of generalizing and making the original statement sound stereotypical, my bad. As for the steering wheel wrap, it came from Poland not China. Besides, I'm not so poor that I cannot afford to do what I want with my car.
  19. My FiL has an 01 Dodge Caravan sport with the 3.3L engine. The van cranks over and chugs a couple times then stops. The wiring harness for the injectors and map sensor was shot so I pulled a good one from the junk yard today. I also replaced the tps and my FiL said that he had the map sensor replaced (because there was a code for it) and new spark plugs put in. The odd part is that when I unplug the map sensor the van will start but only stay running when you stay on the gas. This was their only running vehicle so I'm trying to help him get it fixed but I just dont want to keep throwing parts at it. Is this a common problem? Anything I may have missed that I should check? Also fwiw one of the injectors had been re-wired as in someone tried to run a wire to bypass the harness rather than properly fixing it so I have to remove that wire and fix the factory wiring now, but it should only effect one injector (where they spliced into the wire further up the harness) and cause a misfire I would think, but I plan on fixing that problem in the next couple days and see where we are then. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
