If your wheels were 18" or larger, a pair of small spacers should be all you need.

Simply, using anything else (HID, LED, gas lamp) on a reflector that was designed for incandescent bulb will create unwanted effects which likely be blinding for oncoming traffic.

Other than rust problem, check the front axle Birfield joints for leaks. The drivetrain fluid is usually neglected, so check those as well. Steering linkage is likely worn and various electrics may start to age since it's an 80-series.

Cheaper yet, take it to a tire shop and have the inboard rim cleaned using a wire wheel.

The water used during installation will evaporate slower in winter, so the windows shouldn't be rolled down for more days.

Got a pickup truck at 27+% discount, a 4-burner grill which is a gift to me, and the rest are still in the works. Some won't materialize like the lowering suspension and the tires. Kinda on the fence with the two BC Racing coilovers (deals aren't that great) I wanted some Li-ion-powered 1/2" (300 ft-lbs) impact wrench at Sears but I decided against.
