  1. I'm with find mseebs a lot with some cones and just keep practicing, get the trailer in line with vehicle and make small adjustments. I use to back M198 Howitzers into c-130's there is no room for error. However, just relax and don't stress. Not sure of the old saying, but slow is smooth and smooth is fast comes to mind. It will come with practice.
  2. Thread coming down it's a double post opps, I just saw it on my news feed from google or msn
  3. List is for 0-60 but the photo's talk about weight to power ratio, not sure what Forbes was trying to do. I guess enjoy http://www.forbes.com/pictures/ehlf45hkg/10-2012-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti/#gallerycontent Not my list but here is the top, bottom, and middle. Wonder why they left out Mustang GT? #1 Ford #2 Ford #5 Chevy #10 Subaru
  4. Since most of us have been out, don't forget there are plans to move thing around as far as OSUT goes Tankers are suppose to be moving to benning perhaps maybe he is going to jackson with some new alignment to get these AIT classes to work together like they will when the deploy. 12b digging in 13b firebase. Clearing a path for the tanks and so on.
  5. Congrats, on the choice. I was 13B from Late 1998 to Early 2005, I enjoyed every minute. I was able to pick-up E-5 very quickly 2002. PT and job knowledge and being squared away will make your stay much easier. My good friend is now a SGT Maj. I turned down e-6 while in Iraq hard choice, but respected by my chain of command my PLT SGT and 1SG. I told them I would be ETSing in 2005 and that someone else could have the slot. Got home in 2004 and was placed on orders to be a recruiter, so I had to sign a DCSS which basically told the Army that I would not extend or reenlist to attend the school which meant that I had to ETS on my date of ETS. My wife asked that I not reenlist any more. We were ready to come home. I miss it everyday, but being at Ft. Campbell, meant lots of training and deployments. No sweat the wife was just tired of sitting at home with the little one. It's what you make out of it. If you want it to hard it will be, if you put effort in everything you do it is cake. Ranger school, is probably not in the cards it is typically slotted for certain amount of people from the likes of infantry, SF, Fister / FO while I was in cadets and officers were able to get slots. The slots are probably not going to be there for 12B's to just up and attend the school. You could end up attending sapper school completion adds the right to wear sapper badge(ft.lost in woods), or a local on base type sapper course, but the local school doesn't warrant wearing sapper badge. Some base's had recondo schools. Then you have the other course that can be had Airborne or Air Assault. Airborne at Benning. Air Assault at Ft. Campbell, but also travels to Korea once or twice a year. They also held it in Iraq in 2003 I was a BN level instructor, so our guys would not fail once they got to the school when it came to Iraq. Enjoy your time and be safe, like NOT Brian said you are about to meet people from all over that you will never forget or become friends for life with them. Congrats, again. If you have any other questions, send me PM or something.
  6. We are on to something it was to the left on the drive shaft, so it was a positive 3.5 it was also to the left on the pinion so it was 1.5 so I have +5 oh shit that's why I thought it may have gotten a little louder.
  7. Yes, I understood that from the stat of project, LoL. So, it goes back to the math. -3.5 - (-1.50) = -2 correct I need to know what the stock angle is so I can try that setting to see if the noise goes away. I also have to reroute the e-b rake cable as it is bouncing on the lower control arms and causing a rattle. The instructions said route them over under or (through the control arm just like stock) I went over top and I think as axle goes up and down this is causing a rattle noise. I will go under first then I will go through to get rid of that noise.
  8. I see, what about the smaller holes on the back of the heads. I think there are a few on the front as well, but I know accessories will go in some of them. have you used these before? How deep are they some of the accessory bolts are very long.
  9. So, You think I should just take the measurement on the pinion flange and adjust it to -2 and see who that works.
  10. ?? LoL typically called a deck plug I think. I just know what they look like not sure of proper name, LoL. Was not really wanting to say plug because, everyone would be thinking spark plugs.
  11. Well according to math guy or whatever on Youtube. -3.5-(-1.5) would be the same as -3.5 + 1.5 = -2
  12. You need to know the drive shaft angle and your pinion angle right to calculate a total angle right? I may try this I can simply adjust the pinion angle only to get rid of the whirling noise. So, if I have -x on pinion angle I simply adjust that angle only, and be done, that would be awesome.
  13. Does anyone one know the size of plugs you need for the Ford Racing Aluminum gt-40 turbo x-swirl heads. These are not freeze plugs, they typically have recessed Allen head and go in the holes your not using on the front or back of your heads. I did find some at JEGs called thermactor they are 5x8-11 thread http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/51495/10002/-1?parentProductId=1686929 These will probably work for the larger holes, but there are also a few other holes that are slightly smaller. Thanks
  14. Does anyone know what the stock Pinion angle is. 2011 Mustang GT it is still a stock 2 -piece drive shaft. Stang TV had a great video on how to set the angle. But I need to know what stock is and what I should set after changing control arms both upper and lower. Also, if I have -3.5 on the drive shaft and -1 on the pinion would that be -2.5. Before, I made an adjustment to get to -2, if math was right I was at -3.5. Here is the video I used. I don't really have vibration, but a sound that was not there before I start switching the parts out. It gets louder with speed and like a whirling noise. My friend who is a Ford Mech said it is probably just increased road noise from the new arms and bushings that transfer more road noise. Here is the video I used to set my angle.
  15. This has me busting a gut funny shit. We have the rudder family at the end the road. They used to have a busted as chevy cav with lambo door other then that. They occupy both the trailer and the house not sure how that works, they shave their heads all the time from lice, including the ladies that stay that there. We have one guy we just call the weird guy with red truck. Warned my girls if he tries to talk to you run. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=743&pictureid=6093
  16. I had my tires removed from these wheels this weekend, anyone interested.
  17. [quote=Doc;1551005 After the little show was over, a number of the old timers and 200 club members shook my hand, patted me on the back, even gave a high five. I was told I was welcome back tomorrow, but as a spectator. That sucks, can you please explain some the class rules regarding top speed. I would like to go just to stretch my cars legs car hits 120 before I need to shift to 5th. Did you have to wait until sunday to hit WOT. If I cannot go and get a WOT pass in the course of one day. I'm not sure I want to go. It is quite the drive for me.
  18. I don't mind bracket racing, but would like to have a set of indexes and have everyone inside that indexes go heads up. I have been asked about using a true dial, using your fastest TT pass as your index. I don't like playing the braking game at the end. I had a good run in first elim best of the day and had to mash brakes at the end and still busted out. I know I was running hot on that pass. The guy who won runs bracket every week with an auto, I'm not hating on the auto, the new stang auto is a beast to beat on the track. I may try to classes one for Auto's I know have at least 4 autos that would run and then have the sticks, and have them meet in the end or something, or have each class have a winner stick and auto.
  19. Jegs moved the dyno day to May 12th, 2012 Same timeline. Hope to see some people from CR, at Jegs on the 12th. My slot is still between 3:15 and 5pm, I hope it is sunny and 65 with no humidity. Can on of the MODS change the date for the title for this post, thanks
  20. I hope they are trying to add more each year to make that long shot much easier....I would try to go to at least twice a year or more depending on location. Time to buy a second rear-end with a gear for the mile. thanks for the pictures.
